The inline 6 in the gran Cherokee is one of the best engines ever made.....the 4.7v8 is prone to bottom end problems.
Nothing wrong with the powertech 3.7/4.7 other then ppl not knowing how to take care of them. Keep the cooling system in top shape and keep up with the oil changes and it runs fine.
Any inline 6 is rock solid. It's in the design
Currently in my area a 1999 generation GC with a 4.0 will bring twice the money of a 4.7 all else being equal. It doesn't matter if it's because people don't know they have to baby the 4.7, it's because by this point in it's life the damage is most likely already done. Then the repairs that are inevitable cost more than a repaired on is worth so it's scrap at that point. Dodge has always made great V8s, regrettably the 4.7 is easily the worst V8 in Chrysler's history. It's not near as bad as many other makers worst V8, but compared to other Chrysler V8s it fails. Now compared to the legendary 4.0 inline 6 which may be the most reliable motor ever put in a vehicle it really is pale.
4.0 i6 or the 5.2 v8. Both solid jeeps
@@bryanhersman4037 a inline 6 form any manufacturer is going to ge better then their v8 offerings. It in the simplicity of the design. The jeep 4.0 isn't some magical beast, the Ford 4.9, chevy 232, toyo 3.0, Nissan skyline 6, all are just as bullet proof. Keeping the oil changed and keeping the cooling system in shape isn't baying the 4.7. Those are basic thing you should be doing with any engine. I beat the he'll out of my 3.7 on the regular.
Lee’s has this win in the bag for sure, next wanna see an autobahn bruiser under £3k

There's a lot of Range Rovers run by people who can't afford to run a Range Rover.
If you buy cheap, it's because it hasn't been maintained for years. Prepare for work!
Once on top of the neglect, they are quite reliable and offer a great ownership experience.... if you look after them.

Thats crazy man! before the price hikes I paid 1500 for the same jeep but stock. 1200 in new tires and wheels, 3200 for a lift that didnt get here for 3 months and now gotta pay another 1600 to have it installed.
I was so stressed watching winches used to tow and no winch blankets 😂 well done though fellas

The diahatsu fourtrax should have flew past all of them I had one for the farm and a problem with them is the back axle locking up rad overheating but both those problems can be avoided with good care love to get another one for the road

Well done lads, great to see you all having fun, this was very entertaining. Hmm, a challenge you say, how about building the cheapest rally car, buy cheap bottom of the range hatchbacks, throw in a roll cage and go. Though I don't know if the public has access to rally stages, in that case, rip out the interior and see who gets the fastest lap on a track day... the funniest part is going to be how many times you get lapped lol.
Great weekend activity, chuck the kids in the back and head to a pay and play site a couple weekends a month. We have a freelander 2 and 3.5 v8 range rover.

I have a good Challenge in the summer for you?
Buy a 2wheel drive vehicle on a low budget, make it as off-road capable as possible! Drive it to Wales and complete one of the lanes up there, (Maybe Strata Florida)? Some rough terrain, some water crossings all doable but a good Challenge.
It would make a great weekend adventure. I’d put forward a team for that 🤣🤣🤣 always wanted to do it. Great work guys loved it 👍🏻

i have a 08 Liberty/Cherokee. the next body style after that one. 4in lift with 32in tires. dual exhaust. snorkel box air box (to fire wall), 2021 wrangler JL front bumper swap, and so much more. they are great vehicles but nothing is available so everything is custom pain in the ass lol
I particularly like the Mercedes splash screen on the infotainment display...... in a Range Rover WTF!!! a few dodgy modules in that thing for sure!!

Also that year grand Cherokee would have had a 4.7 v8. You got lucky with getting a 4.0 much more reliable

Great little car, shame about the clutch, otherwise I think it would have done well. Had it been running well, the only competition was the Grand Cherokee.

Never see i a test with a hond hr-v OR the big brother cr-v.
I use a Honda hr-v and drive easy on mud , snow and sand . Even hills the car do not care .
Even the 4x4 drive with a cvt i always have grip on IT.
And reason is easy the rear wheel drive by a oil pump .
Even if your front wheel loos grip teh back Will push IT thanks to the oil systeem built up.
Really. Maybe they can handle the odd green lane, or a bit of wet grass. But I've seen them run out of ability very quickly. They're just not built for serious off roading. They don't even have a low range, let alone a proper four wheel drive system (which is different to an all wheel drive system).

We had so many different cameras, the creators/CZcamsrs all had decent cameras but some of the staff had none so were using phones or dash cams. Over time we might be able to build up a decent selection of hardware, but as an insurance broker we only do these occasionally.

Is every vehicle modification declared to insurance company???
Insurance companies are very strict on things like that. If you don't declare EVERYTHING that is non-standard, and you try to make a claim, your insurance will be declared invalid.
