I love how he shakes his head at Rosie when he sings "the way you sing off key", so sweet.

Rosemary Clooney was always a pro. Michael Feinstein is in awe. Both great musicians. Rosemary & Michael together in the duet. ❤💜💙 Awesome!

I will never forget the night I saw the two performing together live for one of the very last times in London, when Rosemary was already quite weak with her terminal cancer. She was unable to stand and sing and had to sit on the sofa to do the duets with Michael. I was so blessed to be living in an era to be able see the two angels do their acts together on stage, first hand, though that was the only time as well as the last. Her voice was still strong and they sounded wonderful together. I was only twenty something. I guess it was also 2001 as well. Soon after that, Rosemary had passed on. God bless her soul! I am so proud to be the only youngster below 30 in the audience, and so thankful for having that concert as part of my lifetime memory. Also, I am proud to say, I was the only Hongkonger in the audience, and I dare say I am the only Hongkonger under 45 who has seen her performing live!

You're not the only youngster! I'm currently 21, and have been a fan of Rosemary for years.
She was on some of the CD's I used to play at Christmas when I was growing up. "Suzy Snowflake" was on one of the CD's and on the track listing, of course it said Rosemary Clooney, 1951, Columbia Records" That CD is long gone now, but I wish I could find it again.
I am a fan of all the other singers of the same era, have many of their records.
So glad you got to see her perform, even if she wasn't well. You might know about Alma Cogan.
Alma died over Fifty years ago, but I have still visited her grave a couple times in Bushey, London.

Wonderful song and nice thorough intro of Michael Feinstein by Rosemary Clooney!
Thank heavens, I was so lucky to catch them performing live in London in her last days! What a treat! What a blessing! God rest her soul! Sad to live with the fact that this wonderful duo may never again team up and make new music... until we meet again in heaven... and that is a long wait...

So glad to see this again some 26 or so years later!

My world isn't complete without Robert Osborne, film historian. Yet I took exception to an observation he made about June Allyson's singing not being her strongest point. Or something like that. I wonder if I were to meet Feinstein, someone whose work I've long admired, would he agree with me that Allyson was a host of "noncommercial" singers in Hollywood whose voice was effective for what they were called upon to do. Betty Garrett (I Love Those Men), Jane Russell (You'll Know), Walter Houston (September Song), June Allyson (Young Man With A Horn), and Ann Miller (Dancin' The Blues Away), Hermione Gingold (I Remember It Well), Sophie Tucker (One of These Days. Sophie could stop the show!),Martha Raye (Feelin' The Way I Do), among a host of others. No, they were not Your Hit Parade candidates for Peter Potter. Yet they gave us memorable renditions of songs we still hum to ourselves these days. I wonder whether Feinstein would find any merit with what I've just posted.

Right next door, in fact.. and then next door on the OTHER side of Lucy was Jack Benny and then next to him was Jimmy Stewart.
