As long as you have a image that'll work as you're reference you should be fine just copying the colors as best as your mediums allow you. To make your own image pick to images, put one over the other, on one you'll go on color channels (RGB) and turn off the red channel, on the other you'll leave only the red and turn off the others. Your image should already have the effect, just copy it 101 to canvas, each medium has it's perks
