What I wouldn't give to go back to this time, if only for a little while, when the world made sense to me.
My grandfather got my watching this movie. He passed away a few years back and when i find myself thinking about him I watch this movie. It brings back very good memories. Rip grandpa I love you.
Grand pa went to heaven knowing you can’t spell

@J G great time to be young brotha... 👍
Amen
Back when movies we're movies!!!
Amen!
RIP to the great William Smith. Sad that my childhood is becoming nothing more than a distant memory.
Agreed! All the greats are sadly dying off and quite quickly now. this is always on in Scotland at xmas time and i watch it everytime! it never gets old unlike the movies you get now which are instantly forgettable.
Your childhood was better than anything kids have today. Cherish it and watch great movies!
I met him 30 years ago and was in awe of him. He had a presence about him that made you want to walk up and meet him and have a conversation with him. The stories he must’ve had about the life he lived and the actors he knew. Simply amazing person.
rest in peace William Smith, Ruth Gordon, Sondra Lock, Geofrey Lewis, John Quade and Clyde.
Must have watched this movie 300 times. Still love it.
Its one of those movies that actually feels good to watch. Right turn Clyde...
I’m going with 500 for me! 12-14 years old dreaming of going to a bar in america and getting into a brawl! Then I realised I can’t fight so I switched to watching the karate kid! 😂
Stopping eating my Oreos you Hairy Ass 🤣🤣🤣
@@jderrjohnson8715 Gotta love Ruth!
The orangutan parts nauseated me.
January 12th 2023. Watching this classic again with my son. These movies simply never get old
This reminds me of my Dad coming home from working away
We'd watch this film over and over
Bronco Billy and Everywhich way but loose too
Great Memories
Love you Dad x
god bless u
Orville: This guy knocked out everyone in the Marines.
Philo: Well I ain't a Marine!
"You play a hell'uva game of squash!"
"Clyde... Scrap the Caddy."
If I owned a bar and a fight would break out, I would make sure the DJ or live band had it in their contract to play this the second it starts. Hell, I would jump into that fight if it was ever to happen.
It looks like such fun until you get a broken nose, detached retina, 3 surgeries on a broken cheek bone and $4k deductible.
In the movie, one of the pickers slammed his guitar into a cowboy's head, grabbed another geetar & resumed playing as the fight carried on.
What the hell? I might get my old ass beat but why the hell not? Im jumping in too😂😂😂
@@richardsmithmusic at least there was a lot more respect being shown when the consequences of being a dick would result in an ass whipping. Now people run their mouths and go straight to the cops when they have to cash the check their mouths wrote. Or they just shoot you.
@@richardsmithmusic Or, you may just get a bruise or two and some pain that will go away after a beer or two. Not every situation goes far south, just like not every car crash end in death.
RIP Sandra Locke.
FINALLY got the 2 Philo Beddoe movies as a b-day gift this past Sunday
This should be Eastwood's official theme song considering the theme of his movies.
rip ruth(ma)gorden funnest lady ever on film that I have ever seen. you will always be remembered
She was on columbo "try and catch me" as the murderer. Great episode.
and Ruth Gordon as Ma
Now, Clyde & Sandra even Big Tony,Wilson Jonese

@@aaronking7326 thanks. I will look it up. She was one of the best murderers in the series. Jack Cassidy was spectacular in the magician episode along with Robert Culp in the football episode

Some of my favorite movies came out all around the same time as each other in the late 70's early 80's. Great soundtracks too. It's a lost art.

you play hell of a game of squash
Great movie
Strangely the sound tracks I recall better than the Clint Eastwood movies they came from. I learned to love country almost as much as rock over these well written tunes!
I looooove this song
Bellissima musica!!! Grande Philo Beddo...🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
One of my favorite songs played in my favorite movie. My dad turned me onto this music and movies. Takes me back to a more simple time. Miss you Pops and I jad a few beers for you and didn't go to jail lol
This brings back some good times.
I love how to use this as a closing song of the movie
I love the scenes between chulla & his black widows biker gang & the hilarious slapstick scrapes they got themselves into i love the music that plays every time they're on screen sadly a lot of these actor's have passed away which is a huge detriment to the acting community but their legacy will continue thanks to these brilliant film's
What a Great Movie & a great Song from John Durrill this is.?
What a track I love this song takes me right back to the first time watching this film
Great song, just watched the movie, any which way you can😂😂😂
I love this song. Reminds me of the bar fights and tussles I was in years ago.
I hocked our bikes and placed every cent on Beddo to win. WAR IS WAR BUT BUSINESS IS BUSINESS.
I was 15 when this movie came out. When it started playing on HBO,& they ran the announcement"The following presentation is rated PG.Parental Guidance is suggested", my Dad told us to change the channel.
We'd have to remind him"We saw it last year in Tulsa, remember?"
WILSON: "...but you got to be durable too, real durable. Most ain't." BEDOE: "You're right, most ain't!"
WILSON: "Lets call this fight off, there's no point to it!"
gutz1981 I ain't doing it for points...
