You did an excellent job producing all your videos on your travel experience in Australia . You will be missed here in Australia but it is great to hear that you are going to New Zealand now . The scenery there , especially the South Island is mind blowing . You will absolutely love it there . I will still follow your adventures in New Zealand and I can’t wait to watch your videos .

I hope you enjoy your time in NZ while you sort the 3rd yr visa. I'm sure you'll have an awesome time but it must be really hard leaving somewhere that makes you happy. Would love to hear about your time in NZ as well, i'm currently in the process of selling my house and then hope to go travelling, starting in Australia (from the UK). Also, would love to know your thoughts on travel companies in Aus? I'm looking to do 2months with Welcome to Travel as this is my first time travelling solo, have you ever done something like this or have you always just planned yourself? Good luck with everything!

So I initially did the east coast back in 2020 - booked all my tours through Happy travels - haven't done the welcome to travel tour but heard good things. You can definitely do it on your own - theres pros + cons to each! I usually plan trips with the friends I made when I first moved to aus haha utilise facebook!!
OMG Dain, i know how this feels. I’m leaving Tokyo for Melbourne for my WHV and I’m anxious as hell to move out here and settle there for jobs and accommodation. I’m glad im not alone on this journey and I hope the time in NZ helps you go back to Aus long term!!

Quick question though did you consider a partner visa? I was curious why you missed on that early on the video and always heard of it as a popular option too.

Similar situation to me. I've been in Sydney since Sept and need to wait til July to apply for my second year (which'll then start in September). Trying to convince employers that, yes, I promise I'll get the second year visa sorted halfway through my fixed-term contract is HARD. Definitely still a privileged position to be in, but you really do have to jump through hoops.
You really do. Australia just feels like constant visa stress 😅😅😅 but so worth it! Hope all your visa goes well!!

Thanks mate!!! ooooft I personally love Wollongong. Its a rugged coastline of rock pools and its just a vibe!! I liked Perth but I didn't love it. The beaches are nicer over there but I prefer the gong haha! are you considering moving over?

I do experience this right now, everything we can think about how to extend the visa. Also, the competition to get job for 88 days right now is scary. I have 5 month left, and still can't find job for extend my 2nd year visa. Everyday try to apply any farm and factory but still in waiting list they said or sometimes it scam job. I hope everything will turn well for me.
Ahhh I’m sorry to hear that I hope something pops up! Have you tried looking at other areas ? I know Rottnest island counts and north west Aus ! Seen a few cool jobs that way :)

Just keep busy :) To beat Jet lag - Just dont sleep the entire journey and go to sleep in the evening when you land. Sounds crazy but I've done it a few times and I always skip jet lag hahaa

Good question! I didn't want to go to far from Australia as I have some plans there soooon. :)
I really hope new Zealand has a similar lifestyle as Australia but yeah you never know whenever you do decide to come back Australia it possible that it could change and even make it an enjoyable return back to Australia. but yeah enjoy new Zealand have and be safe out there you never know you could walk into something.

Ive lived in Australia my whole life and never have i wanted to leave more than now. Honestly youre better off getting out while you can. This place is a financial prison for a lot of people. The government and taxation department are draconian and oppressive. Sure the weather and beaches are beautiful but barely anyone even has time to enjoy them because they all slave away to pay mortgages or rents. Bad policies implemented by greedy corrupt politicians have ruined what was once a very relaxed paradise. Im moving to south east Asia soon for a more affordable lifestyle. I’ll miss the beauty and climate here but Australia’s glory days are over. It’s no longer the 'lucky country'.
