Hello Gary and Janis, Another jewel in your crown, appreciate the research you always find, I remember attending a service here in the 70s, love Bath, I have a cousin that resides in Bradford on Avon, that also is stunning, I am amazed how light and bright the Abbey is, looks as though its been washed down, the fan vaulting is spectacularly beautiful, thank you for showing...take care both of you....Linda
Linda, so very kind of you. We do try to do a bit of research before we go, and then fill in any blanks when we return; always fascinating. There is something about the history of a place of worship, the hundreds of years it has stood, and the changing face of faith over the years. Simply amazing. As always, thanks so much for taking the time to comment; we really do appreciate it. Take care, Gary & Janis
Its not an arduous task giving you compliments, you could give the TV companies lessons in how to make documentaries, without being dumbed down, with raucous music that doesn't fit with the pictures displayed, WELL DONE !!....have a great week end , any more visits planned ? take care Linda@@OurWorldForYou
Hi Linda, Thanks so much, sorry for the delay in replying, CZcams messaging is a bit hit and miss and replies to replies seem to get lost - we just need to keep an eye out for them. Anyway, we have plans to visit a few more, plus I have a couple I have yet to produce the videos for. We've Standens in West Sussex, and Chartwell Gardens during the summer, There's a road trip from Rye, and Lamb house. We're planning our road trip around Spain for mid-September, and a return to Germany for the Christmas markets. All quite busy. Plus, we also want to have a Sunday stroll in London on a couple of weekends in August (We only ever seem to head into the city in the winter), but it's if we have the time. Anyway, thanks as always for the comments, Take care, Gary & Janis
Dear Gary and Janis, I live in Fulham and warn you against visiting London, especially during the summer months, the situation here is dire, with low traffic neighbourhoods and the rest of the rubbish occurring here , the polluted air which has worsened since the nightmare Khan started all this nonsense , a money making scam if ever there was one , London is now a hell hole, steer well away, I have lived here all my life and to me its a rubbish dump with lights on.....stay in your beautiful countryside....take care@@OurWorldForYou
Linda, we love London, but we understand it's many problems. We love to pick a little region and stroll the streets, looking at all the history as we go. Anyway, it may or may not happen - we'll just have to see. Take care, Gary & Janis
Hey, I have some good news for you, it's free, and there's no need to pre-book. It may be worth while to check when a service is on at www.bathabbey.org/worship-and-music/abbey-services/ and avoid those times if you just want to explore the historic building. Other than that, enjoy the Abbey, and the rest of the beautiful city of Bath. All the best, Gary & Janis
Very informative!
Nina,
Thank you; we like to pack in as much info as possible, and hopefully, some find them interesting; that's the hope.
All the best,
Gary & Janis
Thanks, and hope to make Donation soon.🥀
David,
Thank you, I am so glad you liked the video, and you're too kind.
All the best,
Gary & Janis
