  • This time I take a trip on 4704, which is impersonating a hair dryer or your local household vacuum cleaner. To be fair, you can still hear the brilliance of the ZF gearbox managing to navigate the hills of the X3 Service. I must it did great in tackling the hill to climb out of Skelton Apple Orchard. Must say the 59 Plates have tackled the hills great compared to a lot of the 10 and 11 plated Temsas.
There have been 4 Temsas which have been withdrawn over their time in service at Arriva North East. That being, 4708 - YJ59 BHZ in 2011, 4714 - YJ10 DHK I believe in 2013-14, 4705 - YJ59 BHW at the start of 2024 & now 4711 - YJ10 DHD at the end of May 2024. I feel like there maybe more in the near future due to their age and the expense to receive certain repairs. I'm going to try and capture every single Temsa Avenue left in service which at this point in time is a 23 strong fleet.
    Enjoy :)
    Fleet Number - 4704
    Reg - YJ59 BHV
    Livery - Journey Mark
    Depot - Dormanstown
    Route - X3 Lingdale - Redcar - Middlesbrough

This has got to be one of the worst Temsas for air cons being on blast. I did the same trip on 4707 and it was a lot different even with the air cons on full blast.
Also must add that it does depend on who the driver is too.

Love it. Sponsored by bosch air conditioning it seems xD
But its quite sad to see these temsas get withdrawn. When they first entered service, people despised them. But you never know the value of something before its gone.
RIP temsas (as of now) 2009-202X

They have been Redcar's most reliable even when the Streetlites were there and now the pulsars. It's the Temsas have kept Redcar's fleet together with all the breakdowns the Lites and Pulsars have been getting.
