Age 15 I had to move back to my home country of Malaysia due to financial problems. Continuing study in Malaysia is kind a tough for me at that time as I need to comfort myself plus need to memorize "Negaraku" in school which is hard for me as I'm use to it 😅. But now I can sing both National Anthem & I'm proud to be a part of Singapore (1996-2005)
The children born in Singapore are very blessed. You guys have the most intelligent and open-minded people, a great culture, and the best education in the world. I'm very jealous even though I'm a proud French Canadian, I would love to visit your country. I heard nothing but great things from you guys since the 2000s.

If you learn malay, you know what singa means.

I used to go to a Singaporean school (kindergarten to p5) until I moved to Japan and joined an American school. Lost my accent and forgot the anthem that I sang every single day even though I didn’t have to. 4 years later I find this video and OH MY GOSH ITS SO NOSTALGIC. Ugh I remember being a prefect and raising the flag and thinking that it was the best duty to have and that everyone should be jealous of me. Once I got into trouble cuz my friend and I were fooling around when this was playing. Ahhhhh too nostalgic

I remember back in 2013, i was 6 years old. I wasn’t a Singapore Citizen, but rather a Permanent Resident. Every day, day in day out, my parents would search for this exact anthem on CZcams on our TV. I was very patriotic back then, not really sure why.

I remember back in 2013, i was 6 years old. I wasn’t a Singapore Citizen, but rather a Permanent Resident. Every day, day in day out, my parents would search for this exact anthem on CZcams on our TV. I was very patriotic back then, not really sure why.
