    Apparently the tenor used to weigh 25-26cwt, note was probably C, Gillet & Johnson then removed 5-6cwts to tune the bell.

      I'm pretty sure the more you tune a bell, the deeper in pitch it gets...

      Luca’s right. When you retune a bell, as you take more metal off, the pitch goes down
