- Two 13 health fighters step up to battle. This town, large as the map is, isn't big enough for the two of them (and their sidekicks). Heads up, it's a pretty chaotic game with a couple of learning points on Oda's end.

Drac focusing on Oda instead of the Honor Guard gave Oda way too much value.
Oda is useless without Honor Guard.

The game was pretty fun, I think Drac should really have pulled the trigger the moment he started adjacent to Oda and had just seen your hand carrying only Pragmatism as defense: that was his only chance at a double attack turn (with one of the two surely landing undefended). But it's easy to realize things while watching the gameplay from the outside 😁
Great upload as always. My new favourite Unmatched channel, especially for gameplay. Really good editing and commentary cuts it down to perfect length. Clear what is happening and like you clearing up rules points etc. I know I play rules wrong all the time and the more characters there some interactions can be a little muddy. Bashed through a large part of your backlog and this is first video I've watch near release. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Andrew, I really appreciate that! The growing roster is definitely creating more and more niche interactions, but that's part of the fun. One of my favourite discoveries of recent times was Dagger's Lightforce Barrage into Bullseye's Arrogant But Effective - it's pretty amusing.

“Even if a player’s fighter is defeated during the combat, as long as that does not trigger the end of the game, any after combat effects of their played card still resolve.” --the Rulebook I understand that to mean that you did correctly apply the healing from Patience and Strategy. Am I wrong?
The after combat effects do still trigger, but like Wily Fighting and Snark, they check for an additional condition - in this case, flank or in the case of the cards I just named, adjacency. And the fighter will always be gone by that point. So while the effect fires, it whiffs due to the additional condition missing.

He’s interesting and fun, and better pilots than me can probably do alright with him. But I think he’s middle of the pack overall. His guards are his lifeline, but they don’t have cancels. Flanking can be rather awkward on some maps. It does feel good when you get the ability to fire though.

I’m pretty sure you can, if you meet any conditions it states. As far as I understand it, Oda’s demon scheme just says deal damage and nothing about choosing a legal target.
Yeah, the creators on discord have confirmed you can play schemes at any time. You just do what you can, and if you can't do anything, it's just a blank pass. Came up because of Remote Detonation on Muldoon, which certainly looks like you need a trap on the board to even activate it, but that is not the case!@@RecursionCafe
very first attack you defended with a printed 1 but it shoulda been a value of 2 cause of ODA passive, red royal took a free xtra dmg for no reason lol
