Elaine is my favourite female athlete. I pray for her so much when I see the pressure on her sometimes ❤ love you Elaine 🤗
The way how Jamaicans disrespect Asafa....its embarrassing. This man gets the most bashing as an athlete and I know it affected him in some way . I'm so proud of this man his social media career🤣 is doing so well and I wish him nothing but the best. BIGUP U DAMN SELF....Sub 10 👑
To be honest, this is one of the best sit down conversation with the Powell's. I had fun watching it. The best. Elaine was very comfortable and it shows.
How can anyone say anything derogatory or negative about Elaine this interview shows how down to earth and real she is. Loved every bit of the interview. Good job Mr. and Mrs. Powell
They are haters
The dutty media twisted the whole interview smh
Be humble
@@WanderlustDoc Wasn't twisted.
@@WanderlustDoc sadly smh
Asafa is my favorite athlete and I think Jamaicans love him more than any other athlete whether is doing well or not but as a faithful Asafa fan I believe some of the comments in this interview went a little too far. You cannot use a few people to judge the rest of us. I feel insulted by some of the comments made. It’s the first I see you make a comment and feel so bad about it Mr. Powell.
I was a number 1 fan, I would never address Mr Powell or Ms Thompson how a few Jamaicans did and I would never run up for photos or even to say but I am grateful for this interview, sometimes we think something is this way when it actuality it is not
Something I alway say jamaican love asafa more then even bolt
My thing is he kept repeating his complaint about Jamaicans. He didn’t sound very intelligent.
Then if you're not one of those people he referred to (because he gave specific examples), why would you feel insulted?!! Altho, i dont get what ur upset about, this should make it clear that when ppl are saying, "oh ignore the naysayers," it's not an easy thing to do!!
Shelly-Anne had posted a day in her life as an athlete. Up at 4am no food and the works. So I do know how you guys work hard. Thanks for your contribution to Jamaica. If people are not walking in your shoes, they don't know you have a sore toe. So to speak.
This is their experience, unedited. I appreciate the bold telling of it. Listen to understand.
The last sentence is so important. I hope listening to understand will be adopted and taught in school. So many people struggle with it.
Elaine is such a darling. Can tell she’s beautiful inside n out!!! Cancer gang!!❤😊
Asafa and Elaine are speaking facts people must realize they are human not only Athletes.
Glad to see Elaine on the platform… big up to Elaine and thank you for your service to Jamaica. ..you guys have raised the bar so high over the years that Jamaicans forget the other 🎖️ other than gold. Powell big up yourself every time! Thanks for sharing guys!
Up
I love every athlete who represents Jamaica whether you guys win or not. I understand the hard work you put in, I know what it means for a small country like ours to even have a representative in any competition.
Love you Elaine.
hope to meet you in person one of these days . blessings 🙏
Their has never been a more loved runner than Asafa Powell.. Nonsense this dude talking .Even when he was losing, majority of Jamaica still stood behind and still made him feel like he was a part of the winning.
@@davidscott3726 I agree. He must understand that even when you're winning there will be negative vibes one way or the other. That's just how the world is.
And be consistently flying Jamaica's flag so high on the international stage has spoiled us for sure.😄
@@waynejackson1426 Our realities are often what we chooses to focus on.👍
The reality is you guys represent the country whither you acknowledge it or not. A man is just a man humility is key.
Loved everything about this sit down discussion! I will watch it over again. So real, raw, honest and genuine. Elaine was very comfortable with her company. Became a bit emotional when she mentioned how much she looked up to Asafa growing up as a child in country and having the newspaper on her wall. Thanks for explaining and giving us such a great insight into the track and field world. You guys surely put in a lot of work and time and still have to fulfill your contracts. The dedication and commitment, days with injury and pain, never go unnoticed. Yes you all are right! We are humans. Sometimes the decisions we make in our life is not popular but it’s to better our future. There is life beyond being a current athlete. Elaine give no reaction to naysayers. Just keep focused and be you. I would be the happiest camper if I get to meet both of you one day. Jamaica needs to cherish their athletes in good and bad times; on and off the track. To the Powell’s, great open discussion. Love it. You will gain a follower. Thanks for sharing.
Let us a jamaicans just love and appreciate our athletes win, lose or draw they are our name brand for our country. Everywhere we go jamaica now sits on top in a lot of areas in athletics. Let stop and listen to them, feel their pain, sympathize with them and support them no matter what. After what they have done for our country is beyond words. Love to all Jamaican athletes we are proud of you all❤❤
I ran two Olympics for jamaica in 4x100 won silver in 4X100M 1984. But never got that famous like Asafa . But no one e even remember me🙂. Me and Asafa first Olympians from Ewarton jamaica 🇯🇲. Everything you guys discussed is on point. Excellent discussion 👏
👏 wow thats amazing thank you for representing us ❤️
I remember you, Greg! Thank you for representing our country.
Congratulations Greg. You’re right, i didn’t remember you either and had to check the internet. To be honest, you wouldn’t have become famous in the US or UK either for winning Olympic silver in a relay in 1984. I’m sure Ewarton and your immediate family and friends remember and were proud of you and I can see you went on to achieve great things in your career in the US.
Who don’t remember Gregory Meghoo ? Or Robert Meghoo ? Probably the younger generation. DQ , Raymond Stewart , you and Al Lawrence , LA Olympics 1984. Competing against Carl Lewis et al .You were still in high school at St Jago. Jamaican stalwarts. Thanks for representing. Everyone who represent Jamaica , win lose or draw are to be appreciated. Thanks Asafa for wearing our colors and representing.
A Gregory megoo dis. Yow mi favorite sprinter in the early 80s.400 m back stretch? Poetry in motion
Asafa and Elaine. I am a die hard Jamaican track and field fan. The vast majority of Jamaicans love you guys. Yes there will be criticisms, the best way to deal with the critisisms is to try to let it roll off your back. That being said I think its a mistake to say things like Jamaicans are ungrateful. Its too much generalization.
But Jamaicans are ungrateful!! So what are you saying here?
@@Humbleone_ there you go generalizing. Say some or put a number to it.
@@Humbleone_ it's true though. And I'm a Jamaican
@@Humbleone_ your still just speaking off emotions. You have no evidence of your majority. Say many or alot, you have no empirical evidence
I agree with you too much 'generalization'. I wish he could just be specific and say 'most ' or 'some' Jamaicans......... The point is not all Jamaicans are ungrateful and short-term memory. Everyone can't be good, there will always be good and bad etc.
Asafa not all of us don’t appreciate our athletes. I did a little on the track in school plus I am a track mother, so I know about the training. Also I strongly believe that our country can do more for our athletes for all that they have done for our country. Putting you first and makes you satisfied is very important for your growth and happiness. Continue to shine ✨✨✨🌟🌟
Elaine's down-to-earthness is so refreshing 💛. I look forward to supporting her clothing business because I love her style. Dis did nice!
Beautiful set up, i love how you are improving. This is a great idea. You guys are doing a great with the interviews along with sharing your own stories.👏👏
I read the rants and reviews about this chat and I disagree with some of the criticism. After watching this is my feedback:
Great! Open & honest conversation!! 🙌🏼👏🏼👏🏼
You guys expressed your views and shared your perspectives based on your own experiences. We “john & jane (Jamaican) public” are also free to express our views. The important thing is RESPECT! I for one salute everyone who put on the Jamaican colors. Living in the ppl farrrin, I’m able to cheer and knock mi pot cover dem bcs of what y’all do.Finally not everyone will like you so keep being YOU! Blessings! Best wishes for the New yr!
Finally watched the interview that quite a few folks are up in arms about😂…a whaaaa…am I missing something??!
What was so terrible about it?
Spoken just like it is with a lot of our beloved people…it is my presumption that people are taking this personal, this should not be the case.
It was refreshing to see Elaine speaking and expressing how she feels or felt! Loved it❤️❤️🤲🏽
This was so needed, I am glad you all have this platform to speak and be open!!! I love it!!! I hope they will understand and change moving forward!!!
Thanks for sharing your life stories with us.
Excellent discussion and very nice to get to know Elaine. Her personality is very warm and down to earth. Wish her continued success on and off the track.
Love how we are getting to know our athletes through this podcast! Thank you!!
I love this interview and I've been waiting for my girl Elaine to show up. Great interview Powells
Its a pleasure watching thanks Asafa and Alyshia for talking with the athletes and let us know what you all go through. You are all Legend I applaud you all ❤🇯🇲
Thanks for sharing!! Sorry people hurt you guys. I appreciate the commitment to represent our country and staying true to yourselves. Blessings
This was a vibe! Thanks for showcasing Elaine.
"... When yuh mind at ease, yuh perform better" - that's a word my bro. Solid👊🏿 Really appreciate this candid platform for you athletes👌🏿 Thanks for showcasing the camaraderie🙏🏿Just know that you make the poor & disenfranchised, believe💯 Love to see our track stars looking & living good👍🏿Good content! Love you guys!! @Elaine - I am rooting for you! Love your grit, strength and perseverance! I watched my daughter come back from a severe ankle injury so I can appreciate the journey coming back from injury.
Love your platform A&A
Yes mi girl Elaine in the building yes I just love Elaine she is so humble and full a vibe
Love this thanks Powell Fam... thanks Elaine i love conversations like this gives everyone more perspective on the athletes lives. ❤️❤️❤️
Big respect to you for educating the public and the real deal. God bless the athletes and keep representing to the fullest
They need to educate themselves first. Sound back a wall.
Totally enjoyed the conversation and appreciated Elaine's honesty and realness. It's so good to hear directly from the athletes themselves instead of forming opinions from everyone else. Totally looking forward to more of these. Stay blessed
This was an awesome show.... mi like how Asafa just stand behind his fellow athletes like the rock of Gibralta.... ur like the only man who is capable of uniting the athletes in the sport and that's because of ur genuiness and humility.... It was obvious that Elaine was very comfortable and she too has a vibe... love how she's holding her own... On another note.... Asafa and Alyshia start look alike now enuh.... Love what u are doing.... God bless...
Elaine is so down to earth. This conversation is appreciated. Big up to the fast lane.
Wint u musi did a Quint
Thanks Fast lane lifestyle these talks are so much appreciated getting a view into what goes on behind the scenes with our athletes. Love it, big up everytime awesome content.
So appreciate this podcast where I get to listen to my two favourite Ja athletes both very humble and down to earth . Elaine I really want you to remain humble, train hard, shut out negativity and get that world record !! Do it for us please !!
Elaine and Asafa focus on negativity two much. 1 million people like them and 2 people hate them and they go in the media to talk about and focus on the 2 people who hate them. If they don't stop this nonsense this will be their downfall.
Love this chat as I usually do with your podcast. I understand Elaine personality better. People usually has her as not a sociable person, got the best of her now.
Good job Asafa and big respect for our athletes.🇯🇲
Great interview!!! We get to see the true Elaine, What made it so special it’s the bond all you guys have, I really enjoyed it!
Congratulations Elaine, Alyshia and Safa on your careers! You are both an inspiration. Really enjoyed the sit and chat with all 3 of you!. Keep it up.
Loving the fact that this sponsor are giving in-site of the athletes.
Appreciate everyone who represents jamaica 🇯🇲
Great vibe.. Elaine so at ease . Love this side of you❤
Mr Powell win, lose or draw I, like many other Jamaicans appreciate our athletes and are very proud of you guys. You have done well Asafa! I can't say that I am happy about this episode though, I was very disturbed by the way Jamaican people were classed. Unfortunately you were doing the very thing that you were complaining about and that's so sad. It appears there are some grouses and bitterness that you are carrying but this is not the way to deal with it. Educate the people of the ins and out of the industry, speak to the right people about matters that require change and use your program to be an agent of positive change not to cuss out. BTW we all have options as to where we would like to reside, you have more options than the average Jamaican. If you stay do it because you love your country and it works for you and your family. Please don't let us feel like we should be bowing our heads and falling at your feet for staying in Jamaica. Have a proper plan for your videos, make it positive and I will continue to support. Respect
Well said. I think he is clumsy in his delivery and needs a professional to help him.
Well said. Love him still.
Your opinion is appreciated. However, Jamaicans are dichotomous people. Some are so badmind they cannot even pray it away. Others are just disrespectful and ungrateful! Bless up Elaine and the Powells. Blessings always.
Leave the people alone and let them express how they feel. Jamaican people treat their own people with disdain
Leave d people dem alone. You cant even represent you self much less yuh country.
I love how this podcast is broken down into chapters. Makes it easy to recap important points in the discussion and easy to locate the subheadings. Congrats!
Thank you
Yessss I love this, yessss Elaine fast,Asafa thank you for this platform giving these great athletes a place to speak out..Season greeting everyone 💙
First let me say a big thanks to our athletes for letting the world see and know Jamaica. 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲👏👏👏👏🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅.Ignore these silly people because they cant even run to get a bus.
It’s great to see your interview style bringing the athlete’s personalities to the forefront. I also applaud the progression of the production quality as your series progresses. Up!
Elaine!!! Two thumps up! 2023 is pure growth for you both. Such naturals at this new gig. Blessings for the New Year! BTW Alyshia, I am so loving you top!
Blessings nd happy holidays
I love Elaine. What you see is what you get. Every man for themselves. Big up to all our athletes. ❤️❤️❤️
Awesome podcast Mr&Mrs Powell can't wait to see what coming next big up urself Elaine we're proud of you pray complete healing 🙏 thanks so much for sharing 💞
This was a Good conversation..Asafa I like how you are shedding light on the sport so that people can actually appreciate the life of an athlete..good job
Just finished listening on Spotify. Yes. Definitely bring Elaine back for another session. 🥰🥰
Yay! Thank you!
Those who annoy, u control you . Don’t react Elaine. I love how you carry yourself and I love how Asafa carries himself too.
"Those who annoy you, control you". WORD!
@@deniellebyrd5503 Maybe their's some unattended emotions locked away ,masking as annoyance. 🙈
Elaine and Asafa always reacting to negativity. instead of focusing on the people who love them.
@@jamaicanprincess4124 because the hate is really real. I defended asafa on another blog where they were going in on him. I said it is not everyday someone breaks the world record twice or has ran the fastest amount of times under ten of course the man is a superstar. It may seem casual because Jamaica has a lot of talent and these guys are humble but its not something that someone achieves everyday. The lover overpowers the hate buts sometimes the hate can be really loud to public figures and they are human too.
@@mauricemarcano3861 So the love is fake? I never seen Shelly or Bolt responding to haters and they have accomplished far more than Elaine and Asafa. Their speech here isn't going to make the people who like to criticize them stop doing so. While Asafa is retired. Elaine is still under contracts and she needs to be careful what she says and how she says it. Her sponsors are watching.
Big up uself ETH! You've enlighten me. I didn't know much about you but you've broken the ice here. It's a beautiful platform to share with us as viewers.
Much appreciated!

I really enjoyed this. Didn't know Elaine was such a vibe. Keep up the amazing work Powells 👏 👌
This was such a great interview… it really helps for us to better understand the personalities and how the athletes really feel etc ..❤
Great interview, don't take the negative interaction with the public personal, it goes with the territory, Jamaicans love you all ,you represent us when you run
I love that our athletes are being featured on this program. It really helps me to understand more about their career and to respect and appreciate them more. Thank you Asafa and Alyshia 😊
I agree
I love this interview. Elaine is just so genuine. Wow!
Love this !Elaine is so down to earth.
Beautiful interview or Vibe as you guys put it. Loving the series. 😘😘
Love, love, LOVE this interview. It's so unfortunate that we feel we have to "tuck in" in order to avoid certain comments on photos. Elaine, you're beautiful. You're amazing! Nuff respect.
Great interview! Really enjoying you guys interviewing folks! Keep it going!! All the best!! 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Mr and Mrs Powell, thank you so much for this. Elaine, you are still my athlete ...I love this, keep them coming.
I am so excited to watch this one with Elaine.
I take you guys serious. I see the hard work for years the ups and downs. Trust me my son and I appreciate you guys for real.
You guys have a life too. God bless You guys. ❤❤❤❤
These interviews/chattings are really good. I learnt so much from this one
Thank you guys for having my girl Elaine ❤ big up
Nice seeing you guys, hope you had a merry Christmas and all the best for the new year 🙏 ❤️
With all the publicity this particular episode is receiving, the channel should hit 100,000 subscribership real soon. All the best for 2023. There is a lot of info in this episode. I will definitely re-watch it.
Another informative, entertaining "Fast Lane " episode. Kudos to Asafa & Alyshia for this platform. HIGH FIVE to one of my favourite athletes. Great vibes Elaine. Proud of you and your achievements. Keep on doing what you are doing and remember that you can't please everyone. Only you can answer for you so don't watch the naysayers. Keep that fire in yuh belly, keep putting in the work and the results will come. All the best for the coming track season. Blessings.
Love this, big up Elaine proud of you girl
Its good to hear different perspective from former and present athlete about the hardships and injuries you all endure even on the days when you have major events.Thank you all for always putting Jamaica on the map.
I had to watch this twice to see if l missed anything with all those negative comments floating around from all outlets. What l got is that your asking for support from the government for anyone in sports and if they are not performing well, continue support and stop tearing them down. You have just proven your point about some Jamaican how they get one thing and everyone else run with it in a negative way. Now you're being hated because of speaking of your experiences with our people and want to see better. It's really sad, that the small percentage of Jamaican will never understand what you were saying. Continue to be you. ❤️❤️❤️
Mr Powell thank you for this platform and for sharing with us big fans never thing anything less off you guys I am always proud to be a Jamaican because of what you guys have done
This conversation was needed. I was the athlete who did well but was not able to attain a contract with a monthly stipend. However, I am a college graduate so I worked and lived my passion. Not all professional athletes make money.
Thanks Asafa and Elaine!
This part was a real eye opener. I just thought they all had sponsors. It’s sad that the government does not support athletes. The other thing is that if some sports federation should try to raise funds for the athletes it will not be supported by Jamaicans . We are not the easiest set of people to deal with at all.
@@drmorgs Shoe/gear sponsorship, yes. However, a monthly stipend for living, etc. that was not in my contract. No complaints! Track gave me a discipline that has helped me sore in my professional career. Work ethic!
,?,???m,,k
This was such a relaxed and insightful conversation. Wishing Elaine Thompson-Herah continued success on and off the track. Happy holidays to the Powells!
Love the way this was down-to-earth and refreshing. Love this side of Asafa and family. Glad to see Elaine and hear her take on being an athlete. Love you guys, I am praying for you Elaine and rooting for you.

I just love Elaine simplicity love you girl. Lovely discussion in the fast lane lifestyle. Thanks for allowing simple Elaine Thompson- Erah on. Bless up all the time. Let me also a big thank you to all athletes who is making Jamaica proud. For those who don’t have a contract I definitely pray success to the top. Just practice be determined do your best and the Lord will do the rest
Asafa really turned me off with his foolishness. SMH..Does Asafa know how much people cuss out people and stood behind him even when him naa win.??This really hurt me.Asafa is not under appreciatiated .I don't know why he keep pushing that narrative.
Most ppl don't know what athletes go through so this podcast is here to give a different dimension of every experience. Big up to Asafa the legend for this platform ✊🏾
This was refreshing to see Elaine’s personality. She previously across as stuck up and not interacting well with the other athletes. Glad to see she’s really down to earth.
Love the discussion, and your guest. Blessings!
🎉🎉🎉🥳🥳...Elaine in the house...double double champion is here.❤❤❤
Guys thanks again for another awesome podcast. I must say that one of the problem we have as a people is disrespect, many of us do not know how to respect each other. I really cannot put my finger on it, my few words is to keep on moving forward, nuttin cant stop you. I can feel Elaine heart. Love you all 🙏❤️💕💖🇯🇲🇨🇦
Thanks for bringing Elaine on. Very glad she said yes.
