Became a bit emotional when she mentioned how much she looked up to Asafa growing up as a child in country and having the newspaper on her wall. Thanks for explaining and giving us such a great insight into the track and field world. You guys surely put in a lot of work and time and still have to fulfill your contracts. The dedication and commitment, days with injury and pain, never go unnoticed. Yes you all are right! We are humans. Sometimes the decisions we make in our life is not popular but it’s to better our future. There is life beyond being a current athlete. Elaine give no reaction to naysayers. Just keep focused and be you. I would be the happiest camper if I get to meet both of you one day. Jamaica needs to cherish their athletes in good and bad times; on and off the track. I can't say that I am happy about this episode though, I was very disturbed by the way Jamaican people were classed. Unfortunately you were doing the very thing that you were complaining about and that's so sad. It appears there are some grouses and bitterness that you are carrying but this is not the way to deal with it. Educate the people of the ins and out of the industry, speak to the right people about matters that require change and use your program to be an agent of positive change not to cuss out. BTW we all have options as to where we would like to reside, you have more options than the average Jamaican. If you stay do it because you love your country and it works for you and your family. Please don't let us feel like we should be bowing our heads and falling at your feet for staying in Jamaica. Have a proper plan for your videos, make it positive and I will continue to support. Another informative, entertaining "Fast Lane " episode. Kudos to Asafa & Alyshia for this platform. HIGH FIVE to one of my favourite athletes. Great vibes Elaine. Proud of you and your achievements. Keep on doing what you are doing and remember that you can't please everyone. Only you can answer for you so don't watch the naysayers. Keep that fire in yuh belly, keep putting in the work and the results will come. All the best for the coming track season. Blessings.

I had to watch this twice to see if l missed anything with all those negative comments floating around from all outlets. What l got is that your asking for support from the government for anyone in sports and if they are not performing well, continue support and stop tearing them down. You have just proven your point about some Jamaican how they get one thing and everyone else run with it in a negative way. Now you're being hated because of speaking of your experiences with our people and want to see better. It's really sad, that the small percentage of Jamaican will never understand what you were saying. Continue to be you. ❤️❤️❤️

This conversation was needed. I was the athlete who did well but was not able to attain a contract with a monthly stipend. However, I am a college graduate so I worked and lived my passion. Not all professional athletes make money.
    Thanks Asafa and Elaine!

This part was a real eye opener. I just thought they all had sponsors. It’s sad that the government does not support athletes. The other thing is that if some sports federation should try to raise funds for the athletes it will not be supported by Jamaicans . We are not the easiest set of people to deal with at all.

@@drmorgs Shoe/gear sponsorship, yes. However, a monthly stipend for living, etc. that was not in my contract. No complaints! Track gave me a discipline that has helped me sore in my professional career. Work ethic!
