There’s also another secret where if you play as atreus and you shoot the chimes the bitter squirrel will say “Ohh sorry the chime only works with axes or peoples who’s ball’s have dropped” lmao

When you first have to change the day-night cycle after rescuing the Wolves, if you switch to night and then switch back to day, Freya will ask why Kratos did this, and he will adorably respond:
“I… I just wanted to see the wolves again”
One funny dialogue I accidentally discovered while messing around in midgard with Artreus way after finishing the Norns-Quest, I stumbled into what was the entrance to their lair, but it was closed of course. The moment I realized where I was, Mimir said "Why would you return back to the Norns?" And Kratos replied "...I thought Atreus would like the horse"
And if that's not the most adorable thing in the world, idk what is

When Sindri gets the draupnir ring back into the house and it drops all the duplicates on the ground, you can see them still there after the cutscene ends.
Thought that was a nice touch, amazing game!
I love the Tsushima book the most cause it’s actually written in a Haiku style, which is the style that Jin writes all of his poems
With the uncharted poetry book, it shows the bullet hole when Sully got shot

Here’s a Easter Egg that I think no one knows about. If you go back to Freyr’s Camp after finishing the game, you can see Sif talking to Hildisvini. If you go up to them, Kratos and Mimir will start talking to them. If you wait long enough, you can heard Mimir say “Well excuuuse me, m’lady!” to Sif. This could be a reference to the meme “Well excuuuse me, princess!”.

Caught that one as well, also noticed a few more things that could be referencing Zelda. In the temple of light when fake Tyr destroys a statue so you can cross a gap, Mimmir says “Tyr seems to have grown accustomed to destroying things, perhaps he will move on to pottery next” (I don’t think that’s the exact line but you get the point) this could be referring to Links habit of entering strangers homes and breaking their pots. And at the end of Fryeas missing peace side quest when Fryea pulls the bifrost sword out of the stone, it has a the same vibe as pulling out the master sword, though this one is admittedly a stretch and could just be coincidently similar
@Collecting Casual or the pottery thing could be how the gods of war are acting similar destroying pottery?
Also back at Kratos’s home the candles are lit which imply Atreus was there, which I think is super sweet :( it’s sad that he left but gives more room for his character growth!!!!
He was there. You can find his journal at the back of the shack that he left there after travelling.
There’s another cool Easter egg that I came across that refers to Thor’s fight with Kratos. During the fight, after the frozen thunder, Thor will say “this feels familiar” later in the game there is a part of Vanaheim that also had a frozen thunderbolt. It’s later revealed that Thor fought Faye and they had a similar outcome
It's not an Easter egg that much, just a nice detail. If Adam were about to make a video about all these in-game lore details that'd be insane cause there's too much to cover lol

When traveling through the mines, if you listen carefully, you can hear Odin struggling as he transforms into Tŷr just before you break him out.👀👀

There is also another Easter egg where we see skojldr in Midgard trying to find the coin that Odin gave Atreus to invite him Asgard
Kratos also mentions a Greek tragedy of a man tasked to roll a Boulder up a mountain. It takes the whole day to roll it up to the top Howeverat the end it rolls all the way back down forcing the man to constantly do a task that had no end. kratos later wished that boys fate end better getting that coin. (also that boy is also to be a king if Denmark in his older years as mimir suggests he could be.)
Was that to invite him to Asgard or to pay for the hole in the roof?
@Shaheen Ziyard the coin was to pay for the roof. then the invitation to asgard was given after so perhaps both were meant as an apology in that regard?
I don’t mind freya, but I really miss Atreus as your companion after the game

I miss Atreus for the character, but from a gameplay perspective, I personally REALLY prefer Freya's runic attacks. The sword with bifrost, bifrost slash rune attack, and the valkyrie slam runic... Fuckin awesome.
Edit: the top reply is ridiculous btw, Freya isn't trash; she's objectively better than Atreus 💀
You may think Atreus' runics look cooler (which is a matter of personal opinion, that most people don't even agree on) and you may prefer his character/lines when exploring, but he definitely isn't better than Freya in combat. Not at all 😅
I won't go to a blacksmith anymore because of Lunda. I miss Brok and Sindri!
My only issue with Freya in the post game is that we don't get any of the stuff that we upgraded atreus with on her that's the only thing I have issue with is that I can't summon or use any of the specials that *Boy* had
Found a cool little secret for ps4 users. When you are selecting a realm to travel to using the gateways, the colour of the light bar will change according to the realm you are on. For example, if that circle indicator is on alfheim, the colour will change to blue. Its sad that it wont change when you are in the realm. Still pretty cool tho

The LindWyrms Trap is a wooden homage of the Ghostbuster Trap. Even has a similar trap animation, and its use for supernatural beigns
the uncharted book has a bullet mark on it because it got shot in uncharted 1 which saved sully.

If you ignore the squirrels favour for long enough, he cusses you out for it towards the end of the game. His dialogue also changes after core events.
I love studios who put in funny dialog and Easter eggs. It makes playing again and trying to find the unique dialog and stuff fun. Even though GOW has tons of replay value anyway.
You Can find the blonde kid Atreus meets when he first visits In Asgard after finishing the story. He is trying To get coins Odin gave To Atreus when Kratos fought Thor and Kratos threw after going To see clues about Tyr being alive. They are stuck In rock In Lake of Nine

It's not actually, it's just a historical artifact from another part of the world, the same as the other artifacts in its set. The dagger from uncharted is simply a "special" version of a phurba or kila

One of the treasures you pick up in Midgard is the ceremonial dagger from Uncharted 2. I discovered that last night while trying to 100% the game.

Another couple of easter eggs are Chaurli (Freya's living house) and Sindri's crank repair at the Lake of the Nine. With Chaurli, If you go back at the end with Freya she has a discussion about abandoning him. The conversation carries over somewhat if you then journey to Vanaheim and talk to Birgir. As for Sindri's crank repair, you can still see and use it later on as Kratos when venturing through Midgard.
Birgir ends up living in chaurli if you speak to him in vanaheim before the few final missions.
I'm not sure if it's an easter egg or a nice detail, but I love that you can find little Chaurli's in vanaheim. Freya's house, the turtle tree, you can find a few of them scattered around the after going to find Birgir, so Freya brought one with her to midgard.
If you notice Thor said “This feels familiar” the first time fighting him when you create that huge frozen lightning bolt. This references the other huge frozen lightning bolt in Vanaheim.
With the room you were asked to leave if you just let the door shut and walk back over to it you can here them have an actual conversation
Theres another easter egg where mimir tells a story and he references and explains the whole shakespeare play macbeth and how the witches decieved this hero into thinking hes invunerable to all threats but i only think he tells this story while trying to find the norns because it is about fate
If you turn the day back to night with Freya and the wolves, Kratos will say something very adorable.
The Ratatorks chime gag kinda reminds me to the Mass Effect Salarians "do not push that button"

Remember the creator already mentioned the Tyr name. He also added that when the first time you enter svar*(dwarf)heim, ODIN, disguised as an old man, spit to kratos under the bridge.

A spear out of Thor's tooth, wow... I guess they just left it there as a detail, just like Odin's coin that Skjöldr was trying to rip off a rock

When you level up you also notice the detail of battle gear. I thought was cool. On previous god of war when they went to cinematic scenes they didn’t show the upgrades you did. Now they do.

You get Platin sooo fast in this game, it actually made me a bit sad. It's one of two games I every got platin with and it only took me 55hours...I started the game 4 times in total xD
@@peanutler104 yeah I had the same feeling, but I think the gmgow difficulty will be hell this time. Even in balanced it took me like 70 tries to kill hrolf kraki and svipdag and the sister were pure hell too. Gna was nice but I have dozens of hours experience with sigrun that Gna died in 25ish tries.
@@Vracka mainly because she was similar to sigrun and didn't have to fight so many valkryies. So perhaps that's why she wasn't as tough in the long run?

When ever u first enter the dwarf city, u can see a guy on the bridge, if you look closely u can see that it’s Odin
and spits down in the river that we use in a frame. the body of that dwarf is in an asgardian prison to disguise himself as that dwarf seeing that they needed the person Alive to use the spell

If you go to the derelict outpost in midgard after completing the game, you can find that skjoldr guy there. Interacting with him would reveal that the coin that kratos threw at the start of game is stuck in one of the pillars there and skjoldr tries to pull it out
Bear is a great composer, he did the theme tune to black sails using the hurdy gurdy and has been using it ever since

Something I learned literally today with the chime. If you try to throw your spear at it, it won’t let you. BUT, if you “lead” your shot by throwing it near the chime then moving your reticle to the chime mid throw, it’s completely silent.

I think Skjoldr is also a reference to Link from The Legend of Zelda specifically the Breath of the Wild incarnation of Link because they have similar clothes and you meet him near a huge wall you have to climb.
Skjoldr apparently also means shield in Norse which makes sense since Odin literally uses him as a human shield.
