I'm just so used to it that I don't even hear it anymore lol
I can't stand the door ring.....I even unscrew the ones that push in
Wipe inside window seals too with windows down...

Do you ever touch the tint after you peal the release liner. Like the adhesive part

Lol yes I been waiting on this
Window Tinting Business what about the back window, and how can I protect the third brake light from burning out if the water hits it?
Wipe with lint free microfiber too
What the best tint to buy for beginner
Do you clean both sides of the window before install? Just got my tint done outside was never cleaned now I’m cleaning it myself and I notice things inside the tint like they missed some dirt and didn’t notice…
Hello, what do you use for a slip solution and what brand of film do you install? Great info. Thank you
What are you using to hold your razor blade?
What are u using in the bottle to spray on the window to clean and install .
What slip solution should be used?
Have you tinted a rear window on a newer model Toyota 4runner that rolls down if so do you have any advice on how to tint it better yet an easy method of cutting the figure out. If you come across one please do a video
I'll make a video on the 4 runner as soon as I get another one in the shop for sure!
You want to treat the back window as if you were cutting a normal side window. Lay your film and cut one side and the bottom, shift the film 1/4 of an inch then cut the other side. Center the film on the glass and slide down if you'd like to tuck more film when you install and from there cut the top edge. The panel on the lift gate pops off after I believe you remove the two screws holding it in. taking this off will make your life so much easier. the only hard part you'll come across is rolling the window up and down because the control for the back window is in the front console so either get another person to help you roll the window up and down or you're gonna have to go back and forth doing it solo.
Good luck my friend and if you need any other help feel free to reach out.
Now Show this exact same thing with an older, shit car that's wicked dirty, Thanks!
I tried to do that with the blade to clean the gasket and I cut the gasket
Hi there i am a tinter based in Tel Aviv. I m using the Llumar ATR and i am quite happy. Was wondering how much does it cost per squared meter in US?
Also i have an issue with micro bubbles. I am very careful when i clean the window, i use distilled water only and Johnson Soap. I squeegee all water out .nevertheless a day after installation i see few micro bubbles. Its not so bad there are very few of them so the job looks good but any idea how to minimize?
Give more power to the final squeegee
What’s in the bottle that your cleaning with and installing with
If the sticker is on the inside can you tint over it or do you have to remove it prior to tinting? Is it ok to use soap and water or windex to clean the windows or do I need to buy the pretek?
I’ve successfully installed with the sticker on however it’s preferred remove any stickers and clean and scrape with stainless steel blade NOT CARBON BLADE and just use baby shampoo and water
Where can i buy my first set of blades and film to start practicing ?
Interwest tools is a great place for tools. As far as decent film to practice on you can always practice on sample rolls from different manufacturers. This way you’re practicing on the cheap but you also get a feel for different types of film and can determine who you want to work with.
I like to roll the window down all the way and scrubby pad the gaskets 1st. Then continue the process as per video
nice addition!
Gotta do those gaskets first with Windows down !!!
Great idea probably especially important on dirtier car
@@jakew3 definitely
Is there any issue with all of that liquid running down inside the door?
How do you clean windows with antennas on inside?
thank you for this! I have a question man, is it worth it to pay a local guy in my city willing to train me on everything for $400? i'm trying to make a decision because it's either that, or use that $400 for extra startup tools and stuff.
$400 is cheap go for it
What cleaning solution you use?
mostly water and a bit of johnsons baby shampoo
how long should it take for one person to tint a whole car?
A seasoned installer should take anywhere between 1 hour and 2. But time is different for everyone. don't worry about time just worry about clean installs the time will speed up after lots of experience.
Where do you buy good microfibers and how do you wash and dry them?? The ones I get leave lint.....and does that squeegee work better than black turbo???
JBIRD575 The rag company has highest quality
Costco has good quality reasonably priced
Take a lint roller to your microfibers after washing. Try and wash them together to minimize lint from other things.
Chance Tucker thanks
JBIRD575 if you hang them to dry and avoid fabric softener sheets they are going to last longer and they won't get as linty.
I just recently got my full windshield tinted and need to put a Ktag on. Does it work through the film or do I have to cut out a square in my tint for the ktag? Thanks!
some films that have metal in them like a metalized/dyed hybrid could possible effect the range of the tag. I wouldn't cut a part out for it I would just try and stick with a ceramic film for the front windshield.
Your solution, do you use dish soap or baby shampoo? If so what kind and ratio please?
Big thanks from Las Vegas, NV!!!
MIKE MIKE he always mentions he uses Johnson’s baby shampoo
Sami Sami thanks sami! What’s the ratio like for the baby shampoo? I saw the other “how to” video where the guy put in 1/4 tspn of soap to 2 cups distilled water. I’m here in Vegas where it’s hot as balls right now, would that ratio be a good mix to start?
Thanks again man...
Mike
MIKE MIKE the rule of thumb is the hotter the more shampoo and the colder the less. From what the pros say, 2-3 pumps per 32oz spray bottle is good but you gotta trial and error until you get the results you want. I have not gotten an exact answer to this question.
Another shop owner said he uses equate instead because it has less of certain chemicals and even if you use more it won’t create fingers etc
Sami Sami sounds good man! Thanks again for the help!👍🏼👍🏼
bro... you had the film sitting on the panel of the car, everytime mine touches my whole film is destroyed with contamination it seems 😩😑
Is it ok if the water f goes into the bottom of the window does it affect the electronics I’m trying to start A tinting business so I really want to know what will happen if the water goes down the door panel and if it damages any of the electrics
No the water goes in the same place as rain water does. There’s a drain run off that is designed in the door plus the electronics are protected in a separate area.
Window Tinting Business oh OK thank you so much for the information but what about the back window, and how can I protect the third brake light from burning out if the water hits it?
What is the secret soap solution to clean windows I can’t find anything that I think would work best
Use baby shampoo or go to flex film and get pre tac/tint tac. Glass cleaner works good as well
My friend I’m new on this, just starting and when I done get some little points kind of dust when I apply the security film, what you recommend me? Is it on the solution? Thanks
Same with me small dust part
Did u find simething ?
If youre usino tap water, yes that's your problem. Tap water ha Tony particles that will show up on your tint!
What happen if the windows don’t work
What if there is a sticker on inside of window
Why do you use a blade on the glass??? So this is exactly how the tint shop tore up the top parts of my Interior door panel on my model 3. There’s even a bunch of scratches but I was hoping it was atleast on the film but after watching this seems like they scratched the windows as well this way?!
They most likely didn't use stainless steel blades and didn't know how to use the blade. There is no explanation to y your car was damaged
they say they don't use the same solution to prepare and clean the glass ... I'd like to see a video showing how you can't have your fingers on the bottom
czcams.com/video/Y10UYVXawAY/video.html - here is my bottom loading video, this follows a good cleaning. Hope it helps.
p.s. I do use the same solution for cleaning and installing, it just works for me. Some people use two different solutions for each and that's okay also, its not wrong just a different method. To each their own I say.
Send me some more tips
You didn't say what your spraying? Water?
standard slip solution. 95% water & 5% shampoo
get white scrubbys
