I've been going to this museum since the 1970s. That growl sound of the sabre-toothed tiger bust when you put in the quarter instantly took me back about 45 years. I had no idea that a sound could be so deeply rooted in your core memory without being consciously aware of it!

Same! That and the three musk oxen, and the leopard in the tree. There's also a stunning diorama where they even recreated the dust kicked up by a cheetah's paws.

I'm so glad you loved my "home museum"! It was great to see what has changed and what has stayed the same in the 7 or 8 years since I last visited. Also, orcas are my favorite animals, so this was all around an excellent way to start my week!!! I'd love it if you have time to swing by the Denver Zoo before you leave Colorado so I can see the new exhibits there, too, but I understand if you have other places you need to be.

Kerkorian was not released to freedom. He was at end, released in the ocean into inclosed netted area. He died of really bad skin infection caused by living in small tank in filthy condition. Loved the museum. I heard there is new museum in Pittsburgh PA. called Museum of Illusion. Would love to see you go there. Love you and Jenn.

Before they could release him, he died from really bad skin infection caused from being in small filthy tank from before. He did get to communicate with wild orcas. But never lived to be let back into the wild. So sad.

I was surprised to look over and see you sitting on the red chair in colors, lol I'm the guy who said I've seen your videos when you were about to leave that exhibit I work security there i'm glad you enjoyed your time... I'm sorry you didn't get to see gems and minerals. There are some great pieces displayed in there. You wouldn't believe me if I told you there's two basement levels full of archived items rolling shelves, full anthropology lab... a spider research lab, a geology lab deep freezers holding canisters of preserved film, hidden libraries contained with in the wild halls where the taxidermy animals are and also a zoology lab on the 1st floor... lol the two levels of taxidermy is part of the original building which was built in the early 1900s alot of those Muriels were hand painted by the same artist go back into your video and spot the ones with birds flying in the background those are his... and you didn't even find the hidden elves 😂😂😂

Such a cool museum! I grew up going to the NC Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh. I was similarly fascinated with all of the taxidermy, and they had a room where you could actually touch some stuffed birds, bones, fur pelts, etc (they probably still do, I just haven't been in a few years). That skinless human and skeleton climbing display was amazing 😂💀 love to see a good helpful skellie!

Greetings from a fellow Wisconsinite and museum enthusiast! The little carnivore at the entrance is a Ceratosaurus. Not entirely sure what the sauropod is. Brachiosaurus was the first thing to come to mind, but it’s hard to tell. I’m surprised they didn’t show the necklace that came with the Free Willy movie. I loved the heck out of mine and was incredibly sad when I lost it. I thought that colors exhibit looked familiar! How ironic you should come across it again. The backgrounds on the animal dioramas are wonderfully done. That globe that let you project different things on it was cool and clever.
