I think Vaxei has done enough for us like him reaching rank 1, insane plays and don't forget how well he's able to hold a 100% accuracy like Rasputin etc he is far the best player that no one will match against him except for Maliszewski overall him not losing a tournament for half a decade is crazy

I'm curious to see see how well he would have performed and what plays he would have set if he kept playing and never quit in early 2022 - He made it to the GF of mrekk's tournament and barely played during the 18 month gap between his departure and temporary return.
I've always felt that he returned to the game to participate in tournaments as it was just a thrill for him to be competing where stakes are at their highest and his consistency can shine at it's brightest. If he wanted money all he would have to do is just stream. I'm very aware that he could make more from just the ad revenue alone in one week of streaming than participating in some the largest tournaments with the 2k - 4k viewers he averages.
Well I guess money is like a secondary thing maybe? He probably returned just for the fun of it. Its still insane to me how good he is to this day tho
I wish he'll come back, GOAT for me, but he feels like a repeat of rrtyui, where he will return for shorter and shorter time periods until he finally quits.
Everyone wants him to come back but whether or not that will become true will remain a mystery. Only time will tell

Before vaxei set the first one k people didn't think it was possible. It was like a community white mental debuff because so many players choked so many times.
Hi genuinly think the biggest thing keeping Mrekk motivated is the fact that he's never carried Australia to an OWC title. The holy grail of tournament accolades is still out of his reach.

Early every other player Burns out or gets bored. But to be fair, nobody has had the level of dominance in both tournament and ranking that vaxei has besides Cookiezi And he's burnt out too.
For me there was 3times I remembered seen in stream or videos, the first 1k pp (I start playing osu at this time), the firsts yomi yori fcs and the cycle hits plays.
He's like the young uncle that we want to have in osu.

Right now it's the best time for him to leave. As not only he already achieved everything, but also he probably couldn't get anything else in the game anymore. Aiming for rank 1 when top 4 able to set 1k out of thin air is already impossible (and the number had 100+ of them). Major solo tournament win is possible, but as long as maliszewski and mrekk still in the picture, the chance is pretty slim. Major team tournament win is doable, except if one time someone decide to do "flopinski" again. In a weird way, the only thing vaxei could achieve in the game right now is only owc
Vaxei has reached that "Cookiezi dominance" status where he has proven himself to be a GOAT but is slowly being outshined by the new generation
unless he also doesn't Cookiezi and does unorthodox plays and maybe even attempt to set his own unique 1000pp play

Tbh even if these goats come and don't perform well compared to the competition at the roundtable, the fact that they are there coming through for the fans is a gift in and off itself. But honestly, he'd probably still top 3 even then, considering how good he has always been.

It's very sad to see legendary players leaving the game one by one literally people that inspired me the most since 2017 are quitting and each time i lose someone who i appreciated in this community i also loose motivation for further playing cause for some reason im just not at all into new guys (except maybe Akolibed cause i see him as an aetrna knockoff kinda ツ) or im just getting old idk but hey we all are here forever right?

I think vaxei is just playing whenever he feels like it. It´s not worth about thinking about it too much, since he will come back when he feels like it and leave again when he feels like it. Maybe there is also the reason for prize money but that is just speculation. His grinding phase is for sure over but who knows if he comes back in a year or so to conquer the leaderboard again :)
I mean Ik he quit again but the chances of him comin back to the game r still high it prob wont be anytime soon tho guy spent half his childhood and teen years playing osu you cant really fully "quit" after putting in that much time logically but he prob wont be back for a while
