The Jews were given israel after WWII but it wasn’t as much land as they have today. They moved in and took even more land than they were given, from Palestine. Israel has offered 2 state solutions, land swaps, and peace treaties a dozen times which the palestinians have refused again and again. Israel has even offered Egygt, Jordan, and Syria control of the West Bank and Gaza but they don't want responsibility over the most exremist islamist groups of the region that will also attack arabs if they aren't radical against Israel enough.
As a sanity check, exactly how oppressed would you personally need to be before you launched a mass rape/murder/pillage/kidnap attack against civillians of your oppressor? If the answer is "I would never, that's sick" then you need to realize a massive amount of palestinians have been radicalized by Islamic extremism to the point that no arab nation in their region (including those that have fought multiple wars against Israel) want them but the leading terror sponsor and most extreme islamist nation of the world, Iran, does.
