How did this board hold up having both end grain and edge grain on the surface? It looks amazing, wondering if after use the end grain swells above the edge grainâŠ

New to woodworking, so forgive me if this is a stupid question, but isn't a combination of end grain and face grain bad for a cutting board?

@@genardfang isn't that still a bad combo? Please don't think I'm trying to be rude, I'm just learning. It is an amazing design.
if you look at the top view the basket weave are all edge grain and those in the 3D box are end grain. even though the end to end grain combo still has a tendency to expand. Maybe in the future it will be really damaged but you should still be careful not to get wet or soaked in water. always clean with mineral oil or wipe with conditioning wax and everything will be alright just take care of that. There is probably no problem with such a combo, many are also using such a method đ
