Let’s be real. Luigi’s the nicer and braver of the two. You never see Mario face his fear, Mario is never afraid of Bowser, but Luigi? He has gone much greater things inside of him.

If Luigi us the beaver then where was he for the two mario land games? Where was he for mario 64 and sunshine? When baby luigi was kidnapped in yoshi island who was it that team up whit yoshi to save his twin brother? Both are nice guys who willing to help anyone in need. Luigi is the definition of a "Cowardly Lion" in the world of Nintendo. The Green Mario is maybe a coward, but he has shown to be more brave and competent when he deals with bigger challenges.

Not only does my boy Luigi go through more difficult paths, but he completes them SO FAST! Luigi will go through them I less than 100 seconds, whereas Mario takes his sweet time on his paths
Another thing to mention is in Mario and Luigi Dream Team, there are five giant luigi fights. In like the first 2 or 3 fights he was a little scared fighting them. But then at the 4th one and the final one especially. Luigi was not afraid anymore. He takes things into his own hands to save the people he loves.

I'm honestly not sure why some people claimed Luigi to be a coward... 'cause that is FAR from the truth! If Luigi was truly a coward, he wouldn't be able to do those very courageous things thrice.
Think about it. Having to face your greatest fears takes A LOT of courage, but although Luigi is known to be a bit... timid and self-cautious, and although it was easier said than done, he STILL managed to gain the courage needed to be able to face and eventually overcome his fears.
