It becomes an issue when you set high expectations that you can’t keep up with, though. (All Might v Nomu, Deku v Muscular, All Might v AFO, Iida v Class B, etc) The result being people spoiled with more visually appealing animation in previous seasons complaining. It is ignorant to expect high-quality animation in every single big fight. They have a budget. Completely agree. Still doesn’t make sense to go all out on previous lower-stake fights to then animate one of the biggest turning points like “any other episode.” This is honestly more of a director related issue than animation. Bad decisions were made choosing what seasons to spend the most on. On another note, I’m sure they want the last season to be great. And 99% of everyone crying is going to watch the next episode anyways. So I guess it doesn’t matter.

It’s pretty bad if you read it in the manga. In the manga it was fast paced and really felt like deku was tearing himself apart trying to beat shiggy. Here it cuts repeatedly to other characters or flashbacks and it slows Down the pace of the fight to where it just feels like deku and shiggy punch each other then wait 30 seconds and go at it again. There’s no fluid Sakuga animation to show how fast their moving or fighting, it’s literally Baki style frames of freeze frames with repeating animation on the wind to make it look like their moving. Plus it makes shiggy incompetent by literally just getting ragdolled. Shiggy literally sat in the air at the beginning of the episode for several minutes while deku monologued while in the manga they literally just went at it immediately. I was screaming at that point already because all shiggy has to do is use one of all for ones long range quirks like radio waves or the wind blast and he wins. He looks stupid because of the directing. Lastly in the manga the atmosphere was filled with smoke and debris while here it’s completely sunny so the tone just doesn’t feel right. They did the same thing with the redestro fight and it went from desperation and an actual war to two dudes fighting in the sun.

I genuinely dont understand folks freaking out about the art/animation quality. This looks good. Not the best the series has ever seen, no, but it looks good. Maybe it's because I watched Dragon Ball Super which had objectively terrible art and animation quality for like 80% of its runtime, but this seems great to me. I guess people think we need Sakuga level animation on every single fight or something.
This scene looks like it would have been better with more time cause if you look at the rest of the arc I’d say they delivered justice to it but this scene makes you feel like there’s something missing in the animation sometime the frames and sequences are amazing (it’s like that Chansard scene in the villain arc

Loved how this scene was animated. While I love the style and detail other studios are putting forth in Bleach and Chainsaw Man, the animators here are still doing so much justice to this scene. Combined with the amazing voice acting and score, this is easily on par with season 1 and 2 for me. I know many people may disagree and that’s okay! It’s just my opinion I’m sharing. Much love to you all - this was a great Fall and Winter anime season.

As someone who has read the manga, the animation isn't bad at all and the amount of people complaining is legit getting ridiculous. What's ruining the season for me and genuinely making me not want to watch it is the god damn fandom.
How I learned to enjoy mha, just ignore the Fandom and its entirety is what a friend told me for my sanity. Not just for this but there is other reasons I'm uncomfortable with.

@@rocketeer101 For Izuku's smash barrage, the main reason it felt weak was because of specific choice in animation. Black whip is acting as a sort of bungee cord between Izuku and Shigaraki, extending and shortening as Izuku pulls Shigaraki in and blasts him away. This means it should straighten out fully to show the force of two people pulling at opposite ends before loosening as Izuku pulls himself closer and then back to straightening out. Instead it's shown to loosely connect the two with little to no instances of it becoming pulled straight even when the two are at a distance from each other. Couple that with the poor choice of character animation with unnatural movements, stiff poses and off model characters, it just looks completely underwhelming.
The animation is ok but not enough to bring alot of emotion on the character, in the manga version you could feel the anger and dread shigaraki and deku release from this fight but in the anime it just blant i cannot even bring myself to feel excited to see the fight the only thing i can say from this fight scene is just "oh okay that's cool i guess" i guess they saving cost for future episode or something or they could just cutting the budget a bit for other anime but idk the fight doesn't really bring anything out of me

If you read the manga you would know why like they made my hero pg13 and studio bone is just being lazy
@@thelanister96 there seems so be a wrong with timing as well. I can't put my finger on it accurately, but most of the scenes felt unimpactful. Like a joke that was thrown out off timing. For me, it's been like this throughout the season.
@@rocketeer101 exactly like some punches from deku literally dont feel like have any weight and we cant see much damage on shiga like in the manga like i give studio bones adaptation so far a solid 6 or 7 animation wise like honestly its a 6 cause my hero is technically on borderline seinen and mature type of manga not some pg 13 shit
@@rocketeer101 For Izuku's smash barrage, the main reason it felt weak was because of specific choice in animation. Black whip is acting as a sort of bungee cord between Izuku and Shigaraki, extending and shortening as Izuku pulls Shigaraki in and blasts him away. This means it should straighten out fully to show the force of two people pulling at opposite ends before loosening as Izuku pulls himself closer and then back to straightening out.
Instead it's shown to loosely connect the two with little to no instances of it becoming pulled straight even when the two are at a distance from each other.
Couple that with the poor choice of character animation with unnatural movements, stiff poses and off model characters, it just looks completely underwhelming.

The animation is ok but not enough to bring alot of emotion on the character, in the manga version you could feel the anger and dread shigaraki and deku release from this fight but in the anime it just blant i cannot even bring myself to feel excited to see the fight the only thing i can say from this fight scene is just "oh okay that's cool i guess" i guess they saving cost for future episode or something or they could just cutting the budget a bit for other anime but idk the fight doesn't really bring anything out of me
deku was literally hitting all the smash known to his knowladge to shigaraki
