Everyone has there own opinion ,, in honesty I thought they did a great job reflecting the environment and ethos of Pandora , and am thankful they did not put Disney cast in Na'vi charter costume's etc , some of the product marketing angles are a counter to the films root perceptions a conflit between Disney marketing and Cameron's work. the media have often made commits that Avatar is a film people have forgotten due to lack of in your face product placement in store shelves like the Star wars franchise the film reflects a diffrent ethos and that really does not fit into the values represented in the roots of its reflective story ..

it was underwhelming. good to know there was another one. that animatronic was amazing though. I know that in the story, the humans are gone, so there can't he much of a story on the boat ride, but it would have been nice to see one of those giant Panther things snapping at people from the side.

everyone is hating on this ride saying its boring but the experience you feel when riding isn't supposed to be thrilling, when i rode it personally i was in absolute awe, the scenery was so beautiful and relaxing and i actually thought the animatronic was real for a second because of how unreal everything was. if you're looking for an amazing, relaxer; this is the way to go. but if you need something amazing flight of passage's line was even beautiful as well and an all around great experience.
They can only afford one animatronic....lol

When I rode it this past May I have never seen the movie so I was just confused. I thought it was a calm ride that if it was a long ride and was late at night I could sleep on😂😂
I want to go to disney but I cant do any rides (me and g force dont mix well) do you have any attractions that you could recommend? I kind of want to try the kali Rapids since it doesnt seem bad at all and I cant tell if I want to go on the dinosaur one... but I cant tell how fast it goes and whether there are any drops.

This attraction is truly a piece of art, meant to be eye candy as you rest your feet for a spell. Don't know why people complain. What's so wrong about an attraction that's all about the environment? It's a neat peek into Pandora, and how peaceful it really is.

So many of the rides are like this, for example its a small world, pirates of the carribean, etc. I dont know why people complain about this one of all things, this is beautiful

i know everyone’s angry about how it only has one animatronic and has no thrill but this was made for a relaxing chill ride not a thrilling ride. it deserves a lot more because of how far disney has come.

Dave Movies It is not worth the wait time. You get the intro and then the ride is done - It's like if the Pirates of the Caribbean ride ended after the boat room where the cannon balls are landing in the water. It's so short that everyone was confused when we were done.
Cesar Morales Go on the Flight one, and don't wait longer than 30 minutes for the Navi ride or you will be disappointed.

This is so cool, and that animatronic at the end is enchanting. How they made her so realistic is beyond me. Apparently, she has to stay moving constantly because if she stops, they're afraid they won't get her to start up again.
She's also known to sometimes regularly breakdown because of how complex her system is. Whenever that happens, they'll lower a screen with a video of her moving. She cost around 10-23 million dollars and it's not surprising when you consider how much work and parts are needed to have an animatronic be able to move so fluidly

It exists, actually. In fact, a big part of our nature is like Pandora. Dont forget that the movie's world is kind of inspired in our own planet's flora and fauna. We have flora and fauna that is wonderful, with bioluminiscense, almost magical. At night, rainfores are such a beautiful place. We need to know about these real places to protect them!
Pandora is based off New Zealand, go to the native bush and it has some resemblance, of course no neon
Yunan Province, China. Pandora is based on that.

Just got back. Pandora at night is stunning and both rides were so much fun, my 6yr old daughter literally had the best week of fun in her life me and her did it all. With the lightning pass lol

This ride is so much better in person than over video. You don’t realize how realistic, big and life like that animatronic is until you’re right up on it and it’s just breathtaking. I wasn’t expecting much when I rode this ride this past summer but now it’s one of my favorites

I cannot believe how incredible the details are. This is just mind blowing how good they did this! If I were rich I would literally visit that city so I could go through it once or twice a day till I got tired of it. I don't think one time is enough to enjoy everything there is to see!!!
I went on this ride, and it truly is amazing! All the bioluminescent plants and animals really brings out the Disney magic! A definite ride to try when you go. Especially when flight of passage is over 2 hours! Oh, and the animatronic is perfect! It truly looks like a real person! A ride that is worth the 90 minute wait.
I hate how people hate this masterpiece, as someone who gets nervous over rides like pirates of the Caribbean and frozen ever after this is perfect! Not every ride needs to be a thrill ride.
This ride was so stunning in person. I know it looks boring and anti climatic, but I definitely got teary when I went on. It's so beautiful and realistic. Even the 3D screens on the ride look legit
The Shaman was even more magnificent when I was on the journey. The way she moves and even closes her eyes expressively captured the actual feel of the story. Amazing.
This ride is so relaxing, it's a great way to get out of the sun.
If there was more than one animatronic, this would be absolutely incredible. I wish they had done more with how incredible the Shaman looks.

I would cry if I saw this in person!! Avatar is one of my all time favorite movies.
Honestly I feel Disney was a bit late for this. This movie is years old, and I get they're planning on making sequels and whatever, but I feel like overall most people weren't big enough fans of Avatar to actually be excited for this ride. I would've much rather seen a ride based off of the Lion King, which really deserves its own ride at this point.

That's never happened, so I doubt that'll happen now. That's like saying "oh yeah turns out we're just gonna cancel Star Wars land even though it's midway through"

Just got back from Animal Kingdom and the two Pandora rides and the whole area was worth admission to the park by themselves. Extraordinary detail that just blew my away. I am very happy to find videos of both to show my daughter so we can relive the rides but YOU have to see them to believe them. "Flight of Passage" is probably the best ride ever conceived and shockingly worth the 3 hour wait, the line by itself was an amazing experience, if you can get it on fast pass you almost miss part of the attraction. We were lucking to get in line half hour before the park closed and only had a 90 minute wait but we came out feeling the wait was more than worth it. The boat ride is also well worth the wait!
i feel like this ride is like TOTALLY underrated. i went to disney this summer and i didn't go on it as 1) i have never watched the movie and 2) the line was fairly long (mind you it was in the summer). tbh this is one of the most gorgeous if not the most gorgeous rides at disney world. i have watched this video repeatedly lol. anyways, there are so many thrill rides that having a chill, slow moving ride every once in a while isn't a terrible idea. i truly think the surrounding of the ride is so pretty and magnificent.
Avatar is my favorite movie ever, don’t care what anyone says. I know for a fact that when I see this in person, I’m gonna bawl my eyes out.
I was finally able to experience this ride yesterday with my family. I waited years because of Covid! It was beyond beautiful and if you love the movie you would appreciate every moment of this ride. This movie is a masterpiece and moves my heart on so many levels. I’m so blessed I was able to experience this ride with my family. If you love the movie you would appreciate this ride and then the song alone gave me tears. We then got on the aviator Roller coaster and I literally felt like I was in the movie! Every single part of the ride had me smiling. I was flying and free! Best ride I’ve ever been on! I’m going back next year! If avatar speaks to you when you watch the movie you would love both of these rides.

Did it have to be a peaceful ride? There are many creatures in Pandora, even ones that are not peaceful creatures. But yes, the animatronic is very impressive.
I feel as if the imagineers did an amazing job recreating things from the movie, things that they didn't imagine themselves. More story telling in the attraction would have been appreciated. There was definitely opportunity for them to bring something more to the table.

I always loved the avatar movie because of it's incredible detail creating a beautiful bioluminescent alien planet. Now I have to go to animal kingdom to ride this thing. And jesus that was an animatronic????? It moved so smoothly!!

That animatronic had such smooth movement! It could easily pass for someone in a costume
except in person, it is unhumanly massive, if i had to guess, one leg on that animatronic fully extended and upright is probably my height (5'2) if not taller😳
I just went on this ride almost a week and a half ago. It was a great relaxing ride. Scenery breathtaking. It felt tranquil and spiritual in a sense.

Loved Pandora, Disney did such an amazing job....the area is filled with amazing sites, the boat ride was pleasant and beautiful...the flight of passage ride is hands down the best ride I have ever been on, it was so beautiful and felt so real, absolutely loved it.

I don't think there's EVER been a more gorgeous animatronic!
One thing I notice is this is a mash-up of two rides that were planned for the good side of Beastly Kingdom, a land that never came to be. You got a musical boat ride which you go around this place and encounter the creatures of the land and in the end, you encounter the amazing animatronic you've been searching for in the ride. Yeah, this is a combination of the Fantasia boat ride and the Quest for the Unicorn.

I like that it's not just black plywood and blacklight paint.Its very detailed .They did a great job.
this ride was pretty short but honestly i thought it was beautiful and really cool the way they put it together. the wait was 85 minutes when I was there but my family had a fast pass and we walked right on.

The problem with this ride is that there's no story. Just a pretty boat ride. I think that they blew their budget on the animatronic and then were just like oh well guess that's all we can do. Sadly, this will probably be a ride once and never come back. :(

not too much of a story then. personally I would have at least done a drop after the shaman, or just a drop, and put the shaman in a common area outside, like near the drums.

I rode it yesterday and thought it was boring..yes! There are so many wonderful Disney attractions but sadly this wasn't one of them in my opinion.

Thing is though, that Flight of Passage is miles better,if this was the only ride, I would be massively disappointing as well. Don't get me wrong, the lighting and the animatronic are both spectacular, but it just kinda falls flat compared to it's next door neighbor ride (Flight of Passage).
I'm glad they made this a side attraction instead of just the only one like what the Little Mermaid is to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (although 7DMT was admittedly underwhelming).

They already have ,, but its extremely difficult to capture the full essence of that experience in a go pro video its a 3D image captured in 2D so you have most of the detail blurred and it cant reflect the 4D aspects of the experience such as scent and wind and motion effects ..
