Huge Respect to this blokes array of skills , he was the total package. But the real tragedy is that this guy only played in one test series for the NZ Open Mens 2001. Hugely talented as this highlights reel shows , poor decisions away from the field cost him and the NZ Touch Community a chance to see this bloke achieve on the International Sfage at Opens level and playing Pro Rugby League where his immediate future lay towards the middle to end of the early 2000,s .
Redhill primary and Papakura normal was our childhood stomping ground, we started to become more competitive as we moved over to Redhill…his old man Walter was our kura janitor and use to come over and watch our games on the netball court (Redhill primary known for the old handball wall with the clown)… There was always about 10 kids keen to play; Willy , Eugene, I remember a chick Danielle even little choppy. We all played till sundown, move to the field play barefoot that’s were he honed his craft, that’s where we honed our craft, it was awesome memories for us as kids up there…to much bro those were some meke ass days. Hope you see this 🥃 Many blessings to you and the whanau co Mauri Ora
I learnt alot playing along side him @ tamaki sports academy. Observing him i learnt how to 'show' and 'drift' properly. At a tournament I seen him tap on a longball backdoor pass from the other 'middle' to his wing, skipping the 'link' it was incredle to watch .I was blazed at the time n was buzzing tfo. This video is only a drop in the ocean when it comes to displaying his skillset assists setups etc - for us to watch
Da bro was definitely ahead of most if not alot of people in da game of Touch. Chur brother, must of been that Redhill primary, Fringe haircut ur ol man use2 do.
Nobody was messing with this dude from 05 - 06. One of the greats

Bro moza was a physical specimen,
Never saw a former NZ player in Oz that focused on hard training and conditioning like he did when training
Nah best thing I remember about Willy Mo is seeing him dominate at Touch, then play League and smack opposition Props off the kick off lol.
