It performed flawlessly and was easy to adjust drag in the moment while I was battling a 35lb bat ray behemoth. Mind you, this reel is spooled with only 25 lb braid and 25 mono topshot. It's paired with the kastking telescopic heavy power rod and the two work well together. This has now earned my respect and confidence when traveling and fishing. If you have ever hooked into large rays and sharks, you know they pull extremely hard and can run forever! This thing clamped down on the fish and was easy to adjust during the fight. It has a nice decently fast retrieve as well. Twice the fish went on mad runs and I was able to gain back line quickly to avoid spooling.

There’s one walking distance from my house and it’s loaded with biggins. But they’re turning it into a water park and started felling in most of the good ponds.
I have an amazing abandoned golf course about 10 min from my house...it's super grown up, like the fairways are 6' tall now but the asphalt cart paths are still there and we took a weedeater and cleared around several of the good ponds...Nobody else goes out there because it a pretty far walk in the middle of nowhere, so there are some giant bass! I think the biggest ive caught was 7.5lbs but my buddy has caught one a little bigger...It's really nice having a spot to go thats not pressured when I don't feel like going out on the boat!

Storm fronts are like that, even with low pressure ponds. Happened to me last night on a golf course, tornado watch started, wind blowing, nothing on spinner, chatter, lipless, plopper 🤷♂️
Bankfishing is all I really ever do, no fish finder. Sometimes you get skunked, sometimes you learn something new about fishing, I will say that Noah was correct in recommending the ol chatterdonk for a bite, especially in dirty water, its what brings the bite.

Noah, you are the best largemouth bass angler on CZcams, so I'm gonna ask your advice. I fish a very small, very pretty little neighborhood pond. I use either my Tenkara fly rod or an ultralight spinning rod. I catch solid above average bluegill and small lmb. Lots of fun, kind of my fishing 'lab' where I try new stuff. Earlier today, some boys had caught a bluegill, but had hooked it badly, thru an eye. They should have humanely killed it, but they were kids and didn't know, so they tossed it back. This was maybe 20 feet from me. Another few mins, and the same bluegill is struggling on the surface, clearly in distress, causing quite a disturbance. A few mins after that, a large shadow appears. Both the injured bluegill....and we're talking a slab....and the shadow come closer to the shoreline, right where I'm located. The 'shadow' turns out to be the biggest lmb I have ever seen. I know that refraction can cause fish to look larger or smaller than they really are, but this thing was huge! It would have to be to go after such a big bluegill. The bass is about to grab the bluegill when it sees me...and grandly swims away. So, Noah. What lure would you use to catch this trophy bass....other than a live bluegill, which of course I'm gonna try...? Thanks. Love the channel!

If it's raining and not a good day to fish. Would you mind discussing plastic bait colors for our younger generation. Me personally, I try to stick to natural colors but one color has never EVER worked for me and it probably the #1 color most bass fishermen will go for. Black n Blue. If I add green our purple to the mix, then it's a winner and it doesn't matter where I fish. A jig is so much more versatile now that we swim it with a curl tail, double curl tait, a craw, frog, shad even a 6" worm. When a chatterbait doesn't work, go home! Ha, no I'm a kidding. Make sure you mention not to fail not fishing a swim jig or even a spinning bait.
