      That's exactly how mine is with the long strands sticking out. But with this method you just use that product to twist and hold using the clips and it starts to lock in at the base? I haven't tried this method yet.

    Your retwist looks really good and yes the growth is real. Let ur locs do what they want. I've learned from being on this journey that do what they want and I have to just accept it. Im trying to retwist every 2 months. I had this thought during my 5th month retwist and ill make 9 months on December 5th and ill retwist then.

    How do you get the loose hair to stay wrapped around your locs? I started my locs with 2-strand twists and then started interlocking. The 2-strand twist part of my locs is where I have a lot of loose hair. Will that hair eventually contract into itself and lock? Also I have a hard time palm rolling since my locs are short and my hair is soft. Thanks!

    When you moisturize your hair so the locs stay twisted at the roots? Asking for the palm rolling. I was told by my loctician interlocking was a better method and you can was your hair without it unraveling. Could you give me your expert opinion? I’m 2 1/2 months on my loc journey

    • @screamkay96f
      @screamkay96f Před 3 lety +4

      I installed my two strand twist starter locs myself and I’m 7 months in. I started with interlocking but recently made the decision to switch to palm rolling. I initially started interlocking because I didn’t want to worry about unraveling especially because I work out but long term I don’t think I will like interlocking, it’s makes your locs more compact. They thicken up a little over time but I definitely wish I would’ve palm rolled because deciding to interlock. Interlocking has it pros and cons but I think palm rolling looks nicer. Interlocking creates knots in your hair basically.

    • @Ms.Sipp40
      @Ms.Sipp40 Před 3 lety +1

      @@screamkay96f yes! I told my loctician I preferred palm rolling that I’ve seen bad reviews about interlocking but she thought it would be the best method to prevent unravel but I’m not doing interlocking anymore only because I don’t like it for those reasons “the knots” next time and throughout this process I will do palm rolling. The locks look more healthier from what I’ve researched for myself but it’s my first time so now I know! Thank you for your input🙏🏾appreciate it👍🏾
