She was a couple of years older than I am and one of these actresses that have a serene way of getting old. The way she carried on not making a drama of her illness shows that she was truly remarkable.

My son and I watched Peaky Blinders together (he passed over the sex scenes for his mama); while often commenting on her beauty, I also complained how unfair it was that I haven't weathered as well - and she's older!!! 😀
She and Chadwick are the only people i know of that endured cancer while giving Oscar worthy entertainment and no one even knowing :( true strength and hope they lay restfully

So young and bright to be taken at the pinnacle of her career!!

I saw Helen at the last Harry Potter premiere in London. I stod where the cars arrived and most of the actors did not give any autographs there but she gave me the most beautiful autograph and she was so warm and friendly. I will never forget it.

On earth we can only get a small taste of that place which those who are worthy will be living there forever. Everyone will have trials and test in this life , those who have bad nature will have opportunity to fix themselves or they will suffer as much as they have done bad until they become pure and learn from their mistakes by the time of their death , if they still had shortcomings they will bring that disability with themselves to after life which would be the scenario of what hell is.

I became a Helen McCrory fan after seeing her for the first time on Penny Dreadful. OMG, love at first site. She was one of those rare actresses that the camera really loved! Every movement, every line of dialog was like a beautiful (or eerie) symphony. When she was in the frame every one else evaporated. I'm 83 and regret every lost minute not being entranced by talent and timeless beauty. Damian Lewis and family, how blessed you were!!
