I'm guessing I'm in the minority here, but the mirrors and lighting made it very hard to see the dancing in all it's glory. The close ups were great because you could see the detail, but otherwise very hard to distinguish clearly. A real shame as I imagine it looked incredible in the rehearsal room.
Minority or not, you are correct. Total waste of choreography and dancers' skills: because of bad lighting, they are almost impossible to see and appreciate.

This dance could have been so much better for me if the dark background and flash lighting had been a bit more subdued. I want to see the dance and dancers. Must agree with another comment though that Dave Arch, his band and singers were brilliant.

I was really looking forward to seeing this but had to skip it because of the lights, I ended up with a migraine and had to go to bed, I missed the who thing, now am on catch up

The flash lighting was unnecessary. I couldn't see much of the dance because of it. So I gave up on the video and just listened to the music.
I agree. I thought it was too dark and the lights were really annoying.
I wondered if it was just me. I agree. It's a shame because I could tell it was a really cool routine and staging, but some choices made it less able to be appreciated.
@@kaitlinsebbage2120 another mistake i found is that on bbc iplayer on Saturday, it mentions the warning about strong lighting but on sundays results show it doesn't and yet there's a group dance with very strong lighting, shambles.

This was not a dance for tv. Too dark to see, too frantic and way too many blinding splits of light that cut off your vision and made what was a very dark, chaotic dance even darker and more chaotic. I normally love the pro dances but somebody made a big mistake here.

i really loved the performance, the choreography and particularly the stage, the lightwork with the mirrors and outfits works amazingly. just wish another song would have been chosen, the music to me wasnt even 10% as catchy as the performance. doesnt make any difference in my excitement if i watch the video silently or with the music.
Have to disagree with some of you, but the lighting was too much and distracted from the routine, it was hard to see clearly. Not one of my favourites I’m afraid.

I think in dance they put the better and more entertaining people at the front so you see them most

I must be the only one who didn’t like this? The constant light flashing & numerous camera angles distracted from the dancing. It was frenetic & annoying.
I find the lighting effects are becoming quite distracting and annoying on the show.

All the Other Couples Should Just Give Up because John and Johannes Are Going to win it, Not because there Good but because there getting Sympathy Votes just because there the First two male couple.
If they do win it'll be an even bigger achievement than usual, because they'll have beaten not only some other fantastic dancers in the competition, but all the homophobic bigots who are hating on them too. :)
