I have the same problem. Electrolux microwave-oven combo. Unit is 12 years old. Bottom burner failed last year, and I changed it. 14 month later the bottom burner failed. The oven cavity has a tear in it, even with an oven protector, I'm not sure how the tear occurred. Pizza at 550F every weak maybe.
So spending another $500 CND on a burner, that doesn't last, well, is hard to swallow, so lets go out and get one to install.
I had the same problem. The existing unit no longer available. Double oven too big, microwave/oven combo too small. And I too have to make some adjustments to the size of the whole. Cupboard doors up top, and a pull out drawer below puts the restrictions on the real-estate cut-out size as well.
And ya, I feel the same way. I personally would not do a wall oven again. But my wife says, yes I will. It's cleaner. Happy wife, happy life.
I think I will buy a separate pizza oven to reduce the stress on the oven every week.

I have the same issue with the exact same measurements, the homeowner is currently choosing what style they want to put in there. And yes, you have to use 2 separate units. You do have to pull 120 volts out of the oven junction box and install a receptacle for the microwave. It might just be personal preference, but I would have used the same color and style, series for both the oven and microwave. This to me looks like only one has been replaced, because they don't match. If you do want one that fit's there is a Ancona AN2980SS for the cost of around $7500.

Someone told me once that it was against code to use 1 leg of a 240v circuit to power an additional 120v appliance. Do you believe differently?

How did you figure out what was wrong with the oven? I have a cabinet kitchenaid microwave and oven. The oven temperature is not correct as to the display...I have to add 25-35 degrees to get the oven to the correct temperature. It maintains that temperature so I don't think it's the heating element.

Thank you so much. Is the microwave a regular plug in microwave? If not what type of microwave and how did you connect it to the double wall oven outlet?

The microwave was a plug in . There was an outlet inside the opening. Thanks for watching

@@thed-klan I had the same issue. I was told by different supply houses that I could order the new stove & microwave but don't be surprised if the manufacture just cancels the order with now explanation why. Thats why I did this. Good luck.

funny - we have the same (or very similar) GE microwave/oven combo. Do you have any guidance on how to remove the old units from the wall? Do they just pull out or are there some retaining screws?

    • @getitdonehomerepair

Actually the only thing that holds the whole unit in is 3 or 4 screws on each side. Remove them and then just pull it out.
