wow. This channel came about just in time to save me from my pre A levels paranoia. Theories are so clearly presented, not too concise or broad, really helpful.
Thanks very much! I'm trying to make them efficient but enough detail to still achieve a top grade.
Thanks for your knowledge and explanation it's very clear👍🏽from Mauritius🇲🇺
Thanks very much!
@@thesociologytutor2449 Im studying sociology too , i was following your video along with the book written by chris livesay i am a bit confused , is it Durkheim ( 1915) who talked about sacred and profane or Luckmann(1967) ? btw im from Mauritius too.
It sounds like Luckman is quoting Durkehim who published 'The Elementary Forms of Religion' in 1915

Thank you very much. That's very kind of you! I'm glad you find them helpful. I'm uploading a video on Teacher Labelling this weekend. My website has free mailing list too btw - I only send out revision resources a few times a month, so it might helpful if you're studying A2. Cheers, Tom

Thank you so much for this video! Very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent! Very concise and clear.
Super helpful for the anxiety of incoming exams, however they are going to be done. Thank you and keep it up.
Thanks! I'm guessing/hoping the exam questions will be extremely open and the marking will be very generous, so as long as students revise they should do well. But that doesn't take away the stress
Thank you for this video!
Glad it was helpful!

can you please explain tips on how to get A*s as im struggling to improve on A
Well done on working at an A grade! Assuming you've got good knowledge/key terms in your answers, the main thing to focus on is ensuring you make conclusions (judgements) throughout your essays and avoid listing information. If you've presented two sides of debate in a paragraph or you've explained a view point, ensure you give a judgement and connect this to the question. Sometimes students leave all their conclusions till the conclusion paragraph, which is to be avoided. Also, maintaining focus on the question throughout. I'm going to post some videos on exam technique in the new year.
@@thesociologytutor2449 thank you so much, you're fantastic

Do you have an Instagram or Twitter I can follow to see more sociological knowledge :)
Not at the moment. My website - thesociologytutor.com - will be up running in January and I'm going to post all my written resources there.
Can you have a video on Media?
Yes, I'm going to do a few in the New Year! 😀
