These are great tips. Another one a lot of people don’t think about is with area rugs if a pet has an accident or someone spills something is to look under the rug too to make sure it didn’t soak all the way through onto the hardwoods

Good tips here. Instead of dryer sheets (I've heard they are very unhealthy ) I will start using scented with essential oil tissues under my sofa ! Thanks for the idea .x

I use the Chi doggie cologne as well. I also use the Chi Shampoo for my dog if he needs a freshen up between grooming. My dog was trained from day one to sit on the rug to have his feet wiped. We got him in the winter so it was s necessity to not bring in clumps of snow as well as the doggies prints on the floors. I keep several towels as well as a beach towel rolled up by the doorway.

Another tip which I know you’ve shared in another video is clean your vacuum. I feel like with vacuuming up all the dog hair the vacuum can take on the dog smell if you don’t clean it often.

When I 1st had my dog she kept using the same spot as a toilet if I was home I’d watch her and put her outside trying to break the cycle , when I was out or distracted I always came home to a puddle , a lady who I worked with had previously work in a dog kennels she told me to mix 50/50 white vinegar and water in a spray bottle to use as a cleaner on this area , it breaks down the enzymes in dog urine and stops them using this spot over and over , it was a great cheap idea that did work after some time , great ideas us dog owners do get a bit paranoid of smells I’m for ever cleaning thankyou for the tips ❤️

Hey Ashley! Did you know you can make your own fabric refresher? (Febreeze) You just put about 1/2 cup of fabric softener in a spray bottle, and then fill it up with water. Tada, febreeze! :)

I do basically all your "doggie" tips. It is a lot of work to make sure their natural scent doesn't overtake your home! Our pittie has very sensitive skin/allergies so we minimize the amount of product we use on her. But we always wipe her paws and belly when she comes back into the house. OMG I hate the smell of bacon after my husband makes it too! TFS

These are wonderful tips.... Except I just want everyone to be cautious about plugins and diffusers with pets. If they are left at home with them, please make sure they are not in a small room. They can get really sick and die... Esp small dogs. We only use them in the tv room which is where our large dogs basically live.

I have recently heard about the charcoal bags that you can buy on Amazon. They absorb the bad smells. I'll let you know how they work out. I'm going to order some tonight because we are getting new furniture in the tv room.

Does the baking soda clog your Dyson? We used to sprinkle the pet odor stuff in our carpet and it ended up clogging up the Dyson. We are having the carpet torn out next week... I'm so excited!
Febreeze makes an allergy reducer spray that I use in my room and car. Try it for Chase and Savy. It's a nice clean scent.

Ok here's another tip that I do! If you want to wipe something down that stinks but maybe you don't have the right product or you don't want to use your good Jaws cleaners (lol)... I drop some essential oil in a water spray bottle to clean it. This might be good for inside trashcans. I've also done it with a very very minimal amt of lavendar and sprayed it on the dog then toweled it off. It helps them chill at night.... We call it "get sleepy" time lol

This is funny because at 5:00am this morning my husband cooked bacon 🥓 and the smell literally woke me up. Ugh 🤢 I had to get up and run lemon oil in my diffuser. It takes it out quickly. I don’t like to fry foods because of the cooking oil smells up my house. Last night when I was out he cooked French fries 🍟. As soon as I walk in I could smell it. I opened windows and cut on the diffuser and my wax melts. I’m so OCD about my house smelling good. I get all my plug ins at Sam’s Club they are cheaper and you get more in the package. I use the pet carpet odor remover stuff I also use the island mist or what ever one I think it is baking powder or what ever though lol and the only oils that help get rid of my dogs odor is citrus like lemon and what not lol but it takes for ever to get rid of that stinkin smell but if I used baking powder all the time it will blow up my vacume .... and I have snake plant and aloe I love aloe

Girl, these are great tips! I tend to kill plants, so I have been waiting to see if you can keep them alive. If you can I will try! 😂.I have wax burner plug ins and a small crock pot wax burner that I love! I'm like you, I like clean laundry scents. But, I recently tried Better Homes and Gardens Tranquil Garden Spa that I am in love with! If you go to Walmart or wherever they sell them near you, smell it. It smells amazing! And it smells even better when they are burning. I would probably either get a Walmart gift card or an Amazon one. Just to get something fun. I'll download the app after your video! LOVE YL oils! I got rid of all toxic cleaners, toxic plug ins, even safer make up. Young Living just launched a gray basket weave diffuser under $40...they also have a beautiful Gold and white diffuser. Either of those would look amazing in your home. Oils is the number one thing I use to make my house smell good. I always get complements when others come over. I'm so happy to see you with a diffuser. When we know better, we do better.

I have a dyson and a LG cordless vacuum.
Hi. I purchased the jaws granite because of your recommendation and my results were just okay. I used the cloth, do you recommend using there rags.
I would use some type of microfiber rag. I love theirs if it’s in your budget. I love the smell so much of the granite cleaner. Plus I love it’s non toxic, pet friendly, and eco friendly! I rather store pods than bottles.
I don’t have pets but I do have a baby so I definitely still need these tips lol!
