There are many supplemental forms of magnesium. If it's good to take I don't think she mentioned which form to take and how much.

There is so much back and forth regarding the proper supplementation for osteoporosis. Especially though with respect to which supplements can/ can not be taken together and regarding the Vitamin K. Some studies show that MK7 is not at all helpful in terms of bone health and that only MK4 form of Vitamin K is benefitial and only at a high dose of 45 mg. Well...several Japanese studies show that there is no significant difference between 5mg and 45 mg doses and that the lower dose of MK4 at 5 mg is just as effective as 45 mg dose. Then, there is a good study that shows that only 150 mg of calcium +45 mg of MK4 have shown the most significant increase in bone density. Is there any consensus on this issue? There is so much contradictory information coming from simeengly solid sources! How do you get to the truth? As we know, there is only one truth. Not several truths.

Thank you for this video. It has so much great detailed information! I have ordered her book from our library, but it is from 2018, so I may need to find a more recent copy.

I was looking for recommendation on timing of taking calcium and magnesium. I see conflicting information that says you should not take them together. I would like to know if you should take a cambination of magnesium and calcium together. Thank you.

Thank you for the info! I take magnesium, marine collagen, k2, vitamin C, mineral supplements, sardine fish oil, multi vitamins and 5,000 iu’s of D3. Should I be decreasing the amount of D3? 🤔

Thanks Margaret, you ask all the right questions. I'm right on board with magnesium and making sure to get enough dietary calcium every day as well. One thing I will add is that hydrolised collagen supplements can be harmful for some of us, causing sudden onset joint pain, in my case polymyalgia rheumatica. I would stay away from collagen supplements.

My husband got Palia rheumatica because of his heritage being northern European. He never had taken any collagen powder supplements.

@@barbaramoor391 everyone reacts to something different, but something always triggers the body to react against its own cells and cause an auto-immune inflammatory response. In my case it was hydrolysed collagen which is very high in oxalates.
