- How to Produce a Song - Today’s video is about how to produce a song. This is following on from my previous video “How to Start Songwriting” and takes you through the next step of the creative process.
This video goes over the way that I like to approach a song that I’m producing. We look at getting in the main elements and then adding some ear candy. This video is aimed at beginner to intermediate engineers, producers and artists.
Topics and Timings:
1. Intro (0:00 - 1:16)
2. The Basics (1:16 - 4:46)
3. The Final Touches (4:46 - 8:25)
4. Final Thoughts (8:25 - 9:19)

I’m the biggest fan of this channel. It’s so earnest. Just love it.

Amazing
What software are you using?
Great video again, and definitely enjoying seeing how someone else puts their productions together, Cheers!
Ah thank you! I always find it super interesting to see how other people work!
Hello
Could you give me your name facebook
I’ve always recorded my bass after guitars too… not sure y either! Lol
haha I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one!
I’ll add this to my process!
Excellent video, thanks so much!
thank you!
Nice insight into your process…… love it.
Ah thank you so much!
Great song 😊 Is there a full length version of this song? Would love to hear it and have a cheeky go at doing a heavier pop-punk mix if it 😊
Oooh hopefully I should be releasing it soonish, of course I'd love to hear a remix of it once it's out!
@@ThirdFret awesome 😊😊 I’ll keep my eyes and ears pealed for its release 😊😊
First view 😍
Entry level drek. Having some entry level equipment in a home studio doesn't make you a "producer' either. Why are you pretending to be an expert and fooling yourself you're in a position to instruct others?
There's nothing wrong with making educational content, no matter which audience it's aimed at. Likewise, whether you're in a home studio or a pro studio, everyone should share knowledge because it may be something a viewer doesn't already know. This is someone who's putting the time into putting content together, so regardless of what you think, it's a valuable contribution to CZcams.
PS Maybe your own songs could do with some mix tips ;)

You've commented on quite a few of my videos now. If you find them so triggering, I'm not sure why you continue to watch them. I would however, ask you to link me to your credentials and discography to show me why you feel you can pass judgement on what people have to do/be to qualify as a producer. It will also allow myself and many others to begin to take you more seriously. If you can't do this and continue to leave destructive, hateful comments on my channel, I will block and report you...after all it's always better to be kind than to be a keyboard warrior and hate!
@@ThirdFret I don´t understand why someone gets triggered by simple entry level educational stuff either. The relaxed, nice tone of your content and the description of basic approaches to production is nice. You produce good indie artists, while lizardspawnofdeath probably don´t. The best thing to use nine times out of ten is the basic methods. Most musicians and producers I know that make a living out of it mostly use the basic methods to get the best results. Acting nice gives you a professional vibe. A producer that is not only good, but also nice to hang out with is actually a big bonus in the studio. Good positive vibes allways helps when the work starts getting tough :)
Niceee
Thanks 🤗

Great video. And may I add you are completely adorable 💖🎸🎼🎶🎵 I always record drum beats or patterns first because I don't like playing to a click track.
