    3:05:11: I'm a big fan of Anton's work and truly appreciate his diverse collection of science videos. I just wanted to clarify a couple of minor points regarding the Many Worlds Interpretation (MWI) of quantum mechanics. The term MWI was coined by Bryce DeWitt in the late 1960s and early ‘70s, not Dr. Everett, who in 1957 referred to his idea as the 'Relative State Formulation.' Additionally, Dr. Everett recognized the significance of quantum waves in the theory of quantum mechanics, but he did not consider them physical in any sense other than their theoretical role. It's also important to note that, as of now, there's no concrete evidence favoring any one interpretation of quantum mechanics over another. Personally, I find Dr. Hugh Everett’s interpretation to be the most elegant and straightforward. I'm hopeful that it might one day receive the evidentiary support it merits, reflecting the respect and acknowledgment that was initially lacking when Dr. Everett proposed his ideas. May the best interpretation prevail! Kudos to Anton for sparking such fascinating discussions and broadening our understanding of complex scientific concepts.

    Okay, I have to remember to breath while watching this! 😱 As astronomy, physics and geology merge to help form a theory of everything; the multiple levels of multiverse theories are forming to pull it all back apart. Two simple observations: Quantum entanglement and functioning quantum computers seem to indicate the existence of a Roger Penrose cyclic universe and a level III multiverse, respectively.

    _They assume a property and become a classical particle._
    The latter is wrong. A particle is always quantum, and it's always in one state.
    However, this state is most probably composed of many _eigenstates_ of a certain observable I'm about to measure. When I do, it switches to being in an eigenstate of this observable which, on the other hand, is a composite of multiple eigenstates of another variable.
    For example, if I measure position, I make it a particle with a certain position but this automatically consists of multiple momentum eigenstates.

      All is alive. Our mind is unable to process that. So we cut "all" into manageable bits. It is inaccurate. But doable.
      What you think as yourself is a thought process. It is called the fals self, the ego. It is the condition you use as a fabric to wear.
      All that exists is conditioning.

    Multiverse is not a physics concept. It's just a pipedream to avoid having to consider a universe that actually has a beginning

    • @JpBrooks412
      @JpBrooks412 Před 9 dny

      Multiverse is not a serious theory right now IMO. However, it absolutely doesn’t imply a universe without a beginning. If anything it just kicks the chicken and egg question down the road a little further. What created the first universe in this proposed multiverse? If we’re going off the “black hole == new universe” concept that would infer a tree like structure with a common root node, or several common root nodes. There is still the question of what causes the initial formation(s).
      When you think about it the idea of a universe with a beginning and one without a beginning are equally terrifying and equally sensible. Our perspective in time is such a short blip there’s no reason to assume it ever began, or that it will ever end… but who knows… Only time will tell. Best to measure the universe with what’s available to us and and give our best guess

    When not if we build a universe the size of our own that fits into a match box like the size of the google quantum crib.
    Imagine how small and fast this universe would play out compared to the one we are in...
    Now imagine how small that matchbox sized universe would be if you were already in a matchbox sized universe.
    It would be smaller and faster than anything known and this is only after happening one or two times over let alone if it was a runaway chain reaction. If you programed it to happen once it should happen countless times over as soon as you built the first one.

    Quantum world collapsing. I've thought this for a long time now. Something they should think about is the possibility that since another universe could be in a black hole, even though we are in a 3d state of perception we maybe observing that universe in a sort of 4th dimensional state. This in my head should help with the horizon line and why it behaves the way it does as we would be observing all states of the universe at once but also without any light escaping thanks to the density of all the matter in that universe. All of it that ever will be and was is occupying every space it ever has or will at once. Almost like the entire internal space of the black hole is in superposition to us but not to the observer inside as in order to be observed you have to collapse into the 3rd dimension thus the black hole internally observing but not externally observing seems to be the function.

    Instead of replacing conventional rockets why not aid them.. pushing energy waves through the walls of the craft. Sound pushes mass. Sterios at the back of your truck facing forward ⏪ not backward because . Its not thrust . The vibrations pushing the vehicle would reduce cost of fuel

    • @liggerstuxin1
      @liggerstuxin1 Před 13 dny +1

      The vibrations need to be off of air on earth. That’s how we hear them. We hear the air molecules vibrating. There is no air in space for the sound waves to interact with. No sound in space right?

    If anything exists what is to say that there could not be an infinite amount of matter, energy, and space - an infinitude of universes. The idea of infinity does not register with most people.

    I have an older brother who seems to fall for every "sensational science" piece that comes along. I spend a lot of time reading papers and studies to prove to him the absurdity of what he read. He is just now starting to understand how easy it is to be duped. If it sounds sensational it should be taken with a grain of salt until you look into it yourself.

    The quantum collapse that everybody is talking about is still ego-based. Just because you perceive a small part of something doesn't mean the rest of it doesn't exist. That's like saying when you see a whole forest and approach it in your car when you get close to it it collapses to the view just around the road which isn't true. The observer doesn't have any power or control but rather sees a small portion and considers it the entirety.

    Hello, wonderful presenter. A vey interesting topic and of rest interest to me as a student of physics. However this area of study, though fascinating, has no practical significance to the cosmos as it exists. This is a 🎉classic case of pursuit of knowledge, in its purest form, justifies funding. I applaud the research in this area for its pure addition to knowledge but unfortunately can’t see no benefit to humankind in the study of an alternate universe that is impossible to prove exists, let alone ever interact with. I am a scientist at heart and the pursuit of knowledge is hugely important to me . But there comes a point where abstract possibilities cannot justify the economic costs

    we define time by using movement. but when the universe started.. it started with time ( the universe does not need movement for time to happen. )
    time started. then space was created . it could have taken a spit second or billions off years . lets say 200 billion years.
    at some place some plus energi was created. at another place minus energi was created. ( ogether the univerce will be neutral. ( that could happen a lot off places ) and energi flows. then something is created. this way something could be created 100 billion lightyears apart. or any lenth . spread in the space time created.
    about 13 billion light years away light was created. we only see nearest 13 billion back, but there could be something much further away also.
    this way it could look like there are multi universes, but in reality is is only one universe, but much much bigger than the 13 billion lightyears light have existed in this area. maybe that is why we now see galaxys where galaxys should not have time to be created.
    one universe much bigger than we can measure because light is younger .
    the universe time is not the same as our deffinition of time. think about it as a freeezer. in a freezer atoms are slowend down. even in absolute zero temp not moving atoms. inside the freezer we would measure time have stopped. but it is not stopped, because outside the freezer things moves like normal. soo in reality time did not stop. time runs allways. the meat i have in the freezer is ½ year there, but some would say it have slowed down and is only few days old. . . it is still ½ year it was there. not few days !
    one universe . . light expands like rings on water. one ring can not see the other water rings until one water ring reaches the other water rings. picture the universe as the water
