I wonder why no one seems to have tried modding any of Nitro Family's elements (Levels, Multiplayer maps, enemies, the weapons and combo system) into any of the Serious Sams (Classic or Revolution) especially since they both use the same engine, and Sam still has a healthy modding scene. They seem like a good fit.
"A new breed FPS. This time you don't shoot alone!" Call of Duty came out in 2003 and its big thing was that you don't fight alone, you have allied soldiers with you in pretty much every level. So no, this wasn't a new idea in 2004. That said, those cutscenes look hilarious and amazing. Protag Dad running, and his wife pumping her arms while she's on his back like she's running too. Incredible, made me laugh.
Yesterday I was hit with a sudden flashback of this game. Quick google and hallelujah! Thanks for the vid :) I played this game back when I didn't really know any English so it was the most mindless fun ever. Thank God my parents didn't care what I was playing ;D Also just a side note - you can actually download this game pretty easily. No need to track a physical copy.
