INCREDIBLE Gold Coin Found Near Castle || Metal Detecting UK || XP Deus 2

- Andy, myself & the Xp Deus 2 headed east across the country to attend a charity group metal detecting dig near Scotlands capital city, Edinburgh. There had been gold found previously that week and this weekend certainly did not disappoint!

Absolutely stunning. I had goosebumps holding it. All that history. It would've been a sore loss for someone very wealthy back then!

Well, that said, there was a history of exporting golf bullion/coins across Europe as the price of gold fetched more there than here... conversely, the price of silver was often valued to be more here than it was there...sooo, can you see what people in the know may have done?

24:06 looks like he’s on the horse path between the fields… I’d hunt there more than the fields.
That's a great spot! I never even noticed it thought about that. It does.look like a track way of sorts. I just assumed it was where the farmer had stopped ploughing
They need spots to cut around the farm fields… those long grass areas are old horse and walking paths. Or they’d have to walk through the field. Stay on the path!!.. 😉
The gold coin most likely fell out of someone’s pocket who is riding a horse.
I have been there, Finished just around 13:30 when started to rain. I searched in another area so no chance for me to find this beauty.

@@TheAyrshireDetectorist yep that s me. I v found a few roasted coins, lot of lead and blank(posibly-love tooken) coin.

It was phenomenal John, absolutely stunning. The approx value of the coin no is about £9000

No I don't think so, the coin wasn't even bent. Looks like it had just been dropped! A beautiful thing
Never understand why people don't fill in their holes it takes seconds to put back with your foot, great video was ment to be on that dig n all maybe see you at another group dig
It beggars belief Michael. As you say, takes about 10 seconds to put it all back in. That was 1 of about 5 I walked over. Obviously from a previous dig. I couldnt even fill them backmin as the soil had flattened down and was sodden.
