I want to aid my IDE workflow
with voice snippets and commands. Mb I can use open source engine like CMUSphinx or I can feed recognized text from 3rd party software to small inputbox, which constantly parsed by my script.

is that a question or comment?

@@XahLee It's a plan for my experiments with voice recognition.
      So the question is:
What do you think about use of voice recognition for specific IDE/code editor commands ("find in project", "show declaration", "commit", etc) ?
I've seen "Voice recognition to write code" presentation, which was mentioned in your blog. Unfortunately, I don't see progress in that field(programming aid with v. recognition). Only "assistant software" for casual use(Alexa,Yandex Alice, OKGoogle).

@mr Splendid i think using voice to code, either completely as demonstrated by Tavis Rudd, or as extra helper in conjunction to typing, in absolutely great.
i've seen some projects mentioned. I think you'll find it in web search.
i think is coming fast. Right now, it's not readily available mostly because few programer want it. But the tech is very mature now. I bet it'll be common in a couple of years. For now, i think even if you or me really want it, it's doable and we'd probably find something workable in a week.
i'd be interested in it myself. probably not as 100% voice coding, but i'd use it 50% for certain set of commands. it'd off load typing a lot. Though, am current not so interested to the degree i'd spend hours to find/build it myself.
more specifically, right now i could imagine myself speak some command to toggle on dictation, as for writing comments. writing comment in code, is in daily speech, is very fit for today's voice recognization.
