  • Back in 2020, I did a video discussing the metal vinyl grails I wanted. Since the list has certainly gotten bigger, let’s chat about both the grails I picked up in that time, as well as the ones I’m now chasing after.
Check out the previous grail list video here…

Definitely give me your grail lists. Also, let me know if you have some of the records I’m looking for and might sell me at a good price on Discogs. And of course, anything else that makes sense, leave it in the comments below.

If I had a list all of those would be on it. The cover of Dark Angels We Have Arrived LP is awesome.

Great wish. I have omen and angelwitch. Great LPs. I would love to get my hands on Stonehenge - wings of steel. A New Zealand metal band. Currently on Discogs for $600. - 900 US. Well out of my price range.

I used to love that debut Omen back in the day too. Had it on tape as a kid. Banzai release I think. I have the debut Nasty Savage on wax OG press. Some good picks. Love the old school vinyl pressings. Steeped in history too. 🤘

Good luck tracking them down. I've picked up a lot of thrash ogs the last year or so such as that Nukes album but Agent Steel and Decide debuts are high up on my wants list too.

Ahhh Rockinghorse Records. Now that's a throwback. I remember the old guy that owned it. I think he had a glass eye or something and he always had his dogs in the shop. He always took credit for "finding" the band Barracuda. Maybe he did. It was like '83 or '84 because CDs were just coming out. I'm sure we ran into each other in the day without knowing it lol. Great video! Good luck with your searches!

I want to say the owner was George and I do seem to remember one of more dogs.

My current grail record is Cannibal Corpse’s Evisceration Plague. I’m totally fine with a reissue, being that OG copies start at $250. It’s the only studio album of theirs I don’t own.

Fingers crossed you get to tick some of these off your list. I have three of these in my collection.
I have an original European Roadracer pressing of the s/t Deicide which I only paid around £20 for in a second hand record store.
I have an original Under One Flag UK pressing of Survive by Nuclear Assault which again I paid no more than £20 for in the same second hand record store.
I also have an original UK Peaceville picture disc pressing of Gothic by Paradise Lost which I found in a different second hand record store and got for an absolute steal at £10

Oh my! Great show Matt. Very jealous about that Agent Steel purchase. Disappointed with their release from a couple of years back but still adore the mid 80s period ❤

Matt I know you're looking for the 1991 release of the Morbid Angel Abominations boot but I just got a re release of it on Black vinyl from Hell's Headbangers a month or so ago. It's exact replica and sound quality so if you can at least track that down you'll have a nice placeholder for the original. This copy is exact in every way I don't know if anyone would know the difference although I didn't inspect it down to every detail haha. Honestly it would be nice to have some first edition vinyl's but I'm happy owning color represses since it would be a fortune for me to track down every single LP from my want list from back in the day and for me I love collecting cilor varuants as plain back is boring and the reasons I even collect nowadays is to get these great limited color versions. It makes it fun

Had Sceptics Apocalypse and Mad Locust Rising on Combat Records AND the Venom debut single on Neat Records back in the late 80s/early 90s. Plus a couple of the rest, if I recall properly. Don't ask me why I don't have them anymore, or some more like them that I gave away, as I cannot answer that question myself. What an idiot I've been.

Deep breaths, here's my response -
    1. We Have Arrived hasn't been available for decades, regardless of format.
    2. Both Scream Bloody Gore and Survive were issued on Under One Flag in the UK. I bought the Nuclear Assault album for £30.
    3. War and Pain was issued by Roadrunner in Europe. Asking price was £35.
    4. Given the prices listed, I wouldn't buy them, nevermind putting a needle under them on a turntable.
Great video, look forward to the next one.

In my case,in 2019 i'd sold 300 hundred of my vinyls, because i'd need the money, two of them were "iron maiden" and"killers" in yellow vinyl, bought both vinyls in the 90's.the song "sanctuary" was included in the first album.i can't remember if it was a u.s.a.edition,even i though that possibly were a "replica". Today for me its impossible to find, and worst to pay, for another copy.do you know something about those editions of the albums?.greetings from catalonia.
