    How do you actually set up the zero? I can't find the info anywhere and this vid doesn't seem to show me? Mine is so far out I can even hit a target 10m away!! Frustrating....

    Hi,
    Could explain please what the EV numbers relate to and how do I know what left & right numbers to choose ? And do you need P in P to align what particularly. Do you use a torch at night initially to locate the "target" Thanks Geoff

    • @possumtrapper
      @possumtrapper  Před 3 lety +3

      The numbers are there for reference, for example you were using it in moonlight and found ev +1.5 gave the best image contrast then next full moon you can just set it to +1.5 :), pnp is just so you can have the full field of visoin through the device while having a zoomed window to be more precise with shot placement. By left and right numbers i pesume you're meaning for zeroing the reticle? If so you dont need them as you move the dot from the centre of the reticle over to the centre of the bullet holes then select save press the left or right button to change it to say yes then presd the button the turns the laser on to save

    • @possumtrapper
      @possumtrapper  Před 3 lety +2

      I use a thermal handheld to locate targets, you can use another ir torch mounted to the side to preserve the battery on the unit

    Hello thanks for the review. I am actually looking forward to buy this unit. Can you please tell me how many zero profiles are available to save?
    And how many different styles of rectiles?
    And if its adequate enough to use on a pcp air rifle up to 70 metres?

      It has 5 profiles and 8 reticles if i remeber correctly, ive run it on a .22lr and 223 without ussues i dont have a pcp airgun so cant say if it is suited or not.

    • @possumtrapper
      @possumtrapper  Před 2 lety +1

      nope, its not an optical scope.
      a glass rifle scope holds the reticle inside a drum and your turrets move that drum, in digital scopes you have a fixed field of view and the crosshair can move anywhere within it as needed but it cannot recenter the screen around that point. same goes for ATN Pulsar Pard etc

  • @nikhilnanaiah2480
    @nikhilnanaiah2480 Před 2 lety

      @possumtrapper  Před 3 lety

      Shim it? no didn't need to do that to it t zero'd pretty well was chasing a single bullet roun the target for a while then fired 3 shots and found the rifle just wasn't liking that ammo

      @@possumtrapper so if I shoot the target and I adjust my reticle to the bullet hole I just shot then it will be zeroed? Or do I shoot 3 times till it forms a triangle and adjust my reticle from the last bullet I just shot to the centre of the triangle

    • @possumtrapper
      @possumtrapper  Před 2 lety +1

      @@eruitimeihana6767 only if your rifle is able to put every shot in a single hole at that distance, otherwise you'll get a triangle 3 shot group and need to adjust to the center of that triangle. to close the diameter of that triangle you'll need to make changes to the ammo being fired, like try a different weight and brand or different powder loads to improve the accuracy of the rifle. If you do it on a single shot you'll likely find the 2nd is out and the third etc you end up chasing the bullet impact when its just a case of thats the accuracy of that ammo.

      You quickly breezed through this aspect in vid, getting that freeze of the image in order to perform the essentially one shot zero process. It’s vital part of setting up the unit. Every other feature is fluff by comparison and the booklet is hopeless. Good vid otherwise.
