- Remember dragonball Z on the wii? well today I have flown over a lot of miles through the air to play dbz Bt3 on the wii with my friend! Will dragonball z budokai tenkaichi 3 show its age when combined with motion controls or will goku, vegeta, and friends prove that this is one the best games every made?

Me and my bro used to play this every day after school.
My favorite memory of this game is that one time I did piccolo's charged uppercut which was just a hellacious rising kick, me and my bro were dumbasses that laughed at anything, and because the kick was a killing blow and I was feeling performative that I tried to replicate that kick to make fun of him and almost broke my neck on a chair behind me.

I don't care what anyone says, the Wii's motion controls definitely enhanced the experience of certain games, and this was definitely one of them.

Tenkaichi 3 on the Wii is the only way you have a chance to beat CPUs in clashes with the help with *Motion Controls*
It's actually fairly easy to beat the 3 CPUS. It's the 2 cpus that you couldn't beat
The trick is to rotate both sticks because it counts as 2 inputs

This was the BT3 I grew up with. There were so many characters and transformations in this game, it was nuts. Stack up Goku (Mid) with Ki upgrades so you can nuke anything with a fully-charged Spirit Bomb.
Must people would play it normal no customs

This is actually how I heard of and played the Tenkaichi 2 and 3 games and the series in general. I didn't have a Playstation growing up so I had NO idea budokai games even existed. In fact, it wasn't until MANY years after this that I even learned that these games were also on the PS2.
The new kind of content honestly is awesome as hell Doto. Honestly you're an og for travelling that far to play games with your friend!

This is how i remember playing BT3. I had it on the wii and my brother and i played it for literal years! No other better way to play as a kid who had to charge (an almost realistic) Kamehameha wave. Glad you were able to enjoy it man
As totally scuffed as it was to control actually doing the motions to do moves in this was mad fun
It's been fun seeing you and Nano do all this crazy stuff together 😆 I've always enjoyed playing this game with the Wii controls cause they feel so satisfying to do special moves

This game was basically my life the summer before I started 7th grade. I put so many hours into the wii version that when I tried to play BT4 mod a month ago it took me a LONG time to get used to button controls. Honestly miss this version

We used to have tournaments in our neighborhood, in one of the rich kids' garage. He had the whole setup with giant plasma tv and stuff. We had bring our own Wii remotes though. I use to play Super 17 and just absorbed all ki attacks. Miss thoese days man.

I remember playing this on the Wii as a kid. My brother and I would play this on the weekends from school and we sometimes got into fights when one would beat the other. We grew out of that and are pretty chill and I have a big thing about sportsmanship since then(I played football). My favorite 'what if' was Devilman coming out to fight Frieza.
It was actually Doto’s old videos on the Wii version of this game that brought me to stick it out with this channel. Funniest man alive!
I certainly do; it's how I played Tenkaichi 2 and 3 (the best way as well). It has been odd watching your videos and seeing shape button prompts up and failing the rush and beam struggles (the wii remote waggle made it so easy).
1:30 - An Grandpa Gohan starts things off by wrecking Cell. The DP point system was a neat idea and I'm always happy to see the OG Dragon Ball characters getting the spotlight.
2:54 - It's a simple thing, but just performing the kamehameha motion in the Wii version is pure joy!
4:16 - Awww, was hoping Yajirobe would have been able to get off a Sensu Bean. Healing all that damage would have been hilarious.
6:20 - An a sucker punch as time runs out. How nefarious of the infamous... Frieza's Soldier.
9:28 - Strange; I thought Ghost Kamikaze attack had more tracking than that. I guess not though... that or Yajirbobe is just built different. His speed is on another level.
11:39 - An the Wii Remote shaking commences. Another just pure fun aspect of playing on the Wii!
15:06 - Justice spun itself out of the arena!
18:04 - Incredible reaction time to recover from the missed Assault and block the oncoming High Speed Rush.
I just finished main story mode of BT3 on my Wii, and I love playing it that way
If you're looking to for more content on this game, I'd highly recommend trying the dragon sim mode. Basically you train for a boss fight every week, and each day you train a different way to increase your character's stats to juice up for the next battle. You can also use a day to rest up to regain health, as you do not recover between fights, or I believe there was some random chance stuff too, like you could try searching for the dragonballs, etc. It's a fun time, and I know I'd enjoy watching you get cooked doing it.

Man I loved playing this on Wii, I would mimic SSJ2 Gohan's Father and Son Kamehameha with the Turtle hermit gi from the Boujack Unbound movie.
When I was a kid I've bought this game because I've started watching DB for the first time after watching Boujack's movie, which was my first interaction ever with the franchise, I dare say I regret nothing of that choice, loved that game like no other
