We're teaming up with Brooklyn-based band, TalkFine, to write an original spy-themed comedy musical titled, SPIES ARE FOREVER. The show pays homage to classic espionage action, romance, and mystery but infused with our signature absurdity and wit. After contributing their musical genius to our Online Lemonade Stand, we knew that TalkFine would be the perfect duo to collaborate with on this mission.

SPIES ARE FOREVER follows the suave, yet arrogant, Agent Curt Mega after a tragedy forces him to reconsider the unstable world of espionage. But before long, Mega finds himself thrust into the shadows of Cold War politics, entangled with a Russian femme fatale, and uncovering a super villain’s plot to rebuild the Nazi empire. With a license to kill and the voice of an angel, Mega must stay alive, complete the mission, and prove to his enemies that the deadliest weapon of all is a little song and dance.

well this was made far before the Musical and is with different limitations. Corey had to direct so couldn't be in it too much, they chose to have a more traditional Nazi outfit for the Baron and Joey wouldn't have had time.to switch into that makeup for quick changes!

This is pure gold. The puns are gorgeous, the costumes are beautiful and the first few minutes are just curt running around pretending to be a spy. Who wouldn't love this?
Great cast (kudos for Lauren as The Boss)! I'm very curious to see Cory directing; he already surprised me as an actor besides all his other talents. Too bad I can't go to L.A.

Oh shit I remember seeing this when it came out and so badly wanting to see it bc 'omg joey and brian and lauren from starkid' and then forgetting about it? And then i thought a couple of days ago that i should check TCB out and I watched Spies Are Forever and it is so good? And i just fUckInG FORGOT ABOUT IT? wtf? ?

Just one thing, I thought Joey's last name was pronounced taking the "ch" as if when we pronounce "channel", but is like "rikter" like when we pronounce "ache"!! Whaat a surprise
I thought so too in the beginning because im German and I have a teacher named Richter (with the channel-ch) and that made the most sense, you never stop learning!

I am so excited about this, it looks amazing!! I have always really wanted to go to one of your shows or tours, but being a British Starkid I have never got the chance, but I will definitely try to donate. Most of my friends give me really odd looks when I casually quote Starkid whenever they say something which one of the shows can relate to, or I just burst out in song. Why can't more people here appreciate the great things that you do?! If it wasn't for my best friend, I never would've gotten into Starkid the way I do (ha ha, quote there!!) right now!!
