There was no bboy in the world that was going to beat Issei in this tournament. Almost every world class bboy participated and Issei won every round, almost all were unanimously. Much respect for Alkolil. He deserved to be in the finals.

Props to both b-boys, best finals since BC One 2016, 5 rounds of pure high level breaking, responding to each others rounds and with some crazy musicality. And happy for Issei for finally conquering this title
Really I thought this was a weak ass final. Both were exhausted and out of combos and original moves. Im happy Issei finally took it, but both were on fumes. Granted this competition is more rigorous than BC One because its a Top 32 against the worlds best unlike BC One which is half that. They have to come hard in a bracket twice as large.

Man Issei has won all the big jams in his career already got a bc one, silverback, and R-16 and many more but this man has sets for days there are bboys who shine in crew battles but the real test is 1 on 1 and this man steps up to it everytime.

you don't get what I mean I am saying 1 on 1 is the real test because your are tested on how many tools you have, or how much endurance you have. In crew battles you have sets that can be saved because you are not going out as much also routines preserves sets even more where as in 1 v 1 you have to keep pulling out move after move and if there is a tie break you are even dipping into your resources further which if your the bboy who makes it to a final you are now tested to see if you have exhausted everything i.e. repeating the same thing over and over.

@@kayilla6413 some guy called Curtis Hedges got butthurt and decided to infringe his copyright to the round-for-round breaking format and harassed the funders and organizers, by the likes of Steve Graham (who also founded and funded Silverback). Curtis went as far to bring forth child labour threats, meaning that Kids bboy battles were against the law. Crazy, right? These threats escalated to such a degree where Steve had had enough, and he had to step away from the nonsense. Which means no funding, which means no silverback. Unfortunate that some guy didn't keep his ego in check and decided to deal with this situation in the worst way possible, and which did not help the bboying scene at all.

Alkolil is definately more artistic than before.
I’ve watched these matches many many times and others like it. I think this is arguably Issei’s greatest all time solo tournament performances. Making light work of legends Vero and Menno and then closing against another legend in the finals. He made a definitive statement that he was going for world number 1. Silverback 2016 was amazing with those two nasty sets against El Niño and Pocket but here he made it effortless.
alkolil struggled. He was tired , his difficult combos and moves takes the toll on his stamina. Honestly it look like he was gonna blank out anytime. Funnily i was worried for him. Health before the goal mate. Live to fight another day

Bro, at this stage, when you're in the finals, there's no tomorrow. You gotta go all in. Especially when you're Alkolil, who keeps getting the 2nd place. Feels sorry for him, cuz he deserves more. He has the style and flavour, should be smoking most of the cats right now, but for some reason he's not. I wish he could get BC One one day, really. I wish him the best.
PS. One small conclusion that I have to make about Issei and him being humble. He doesn't throw cocks or else in the battle, he just beats cats by his true skill. And the reason why I'm saying this now is his beginning of 2nd set, when he barely touched Alkolil, still he holded his hands in a gesture of "forgive me". I've been travelling through Asia for quite some time and I can honestly say I admire how humble they are and seeing a big name like Issei being that humble just makes me love him for what he's doing and how he's doing it. Big up for that.

Even if issei won the battle alkolil won my heart with the first round that shit was dope as hell. It is definately my top 10 sets ever seen. Its really sad to see alkolil not winning bc one and many other competitions even tho he deserves to win. I think he should spend more time on creating stuff and arranging them in a manner so that he dosent cut his rounds short. Its funny how Alkolil threw that shoulder grab spin in the end against Issei which wasnt executed perfectly but Issei didnt tell shit, but when Issei threw the same at him, he pointed out that it isnt flawless which actually backfired at him, thats why he double pistoled him... But its only my opinion. One of the best battles out there for me. Both beasts.
