Very, very few countries are strict enough to not allow somebody in because of a pending court case in their country of origin unless especially when they were not arrested and do not have a criminal record. I know of absolutely zero countries that are that strict. What countries care about is your criminal record. In most countries you are innocent till proven guilty in a court of law. So, Unless she was arrested and there are conditions of her release after arrest, that do not allow her to travel, it is at her discretion to travel but in situations like this it's always important to confirm with a lawyer as different countries have different laws. In Dee Mwango's case, as long as she returns prior to the court date and avails herself on the day of court, there should be no issue but with felony cases (of which her's is not) it is always best to get permission, if there is concern. She has done nothing wrong by traveling and the issue you have presented is a non issue in all countries as far as I know as she is not a felon (convicted criminal) and did not get arrested. It’s a matter of public record, in which case anyone is free to discuss it- it’s small claims not trial by jury, so there’s no reporting limitation.
