This might actually be the worst RC car I have ever reviewed!
I love CHEAP RC cars here on my channel as you know and when this was listed on banggood i was instantly intrigued to see how good it was.
False Speed claims and scale claims are common when it comes to buying items from chinese shops like banggood so i didnt know what to expect.

This was quite possibly the worst RC car I have ever had to review. Battery issues, Range issues, False Speed claims, False Scale Claims the list goes on.. This was terrible! For the money you would have to be crazy to buy this just buy the fantastic Team Associated Rival MT10 if you want a bomb proof basher! You need to check out the esc on the new Big Rock, they have had problems on some trucks. With the esc needing an update, plenty of video's on this problem.

I agree! Even if it's not junk but has some things that might hold it back I feel would be better to know about now before a purchase. That way before I get it home I'm thinking about what I can do to make the "small" flaws better!

I noticed this on Banggood and was quite shocked at the price. Especially considering the other smaller 1:10 KF Plan was around a 100 quid. The biggest downside to that was the lack of spares backup. I do hate it when they list the parts in the instructions. But you simply canot find them anywhere online! No wonder they didn't want to send you it! 😢

Once I saw the pictures of this on Banggood I could tell it was a “reimagined” JLB cheetah, so I specifically made sure I didn’t get it lol. Which I do have a cheetah, and well…ya it’s awful. Though definitely better than this did.

We love all your reviews, keep up the good work, ignore the haters! Do do a follow up video to solve those QC problems. As i have the JLB cheetah, i do wish BG to keep selling this car so there will still be parts support from them. But of course, they'll have to sort out the QC issue

I don't know why but the way you reacted when it almost ran away on you was priceless. I could guess the motor and esc wires being plugged up incorrectly. I'll also guess the receiver antenna probably got clipped or is tucked too far in to maintain signal. Not good for such an expensive kit.
checked all this not the issue. Seems like a bad tx/rx
Wow! This thing has all kinds of issues. A couple of things I was wondering and just trying to figure this out. Are those batteries in the transmitter used or any good. Maybe some brand new AA’s?
Also, seeing that it’s brushless, try different combinations of plugging in the esc and motor wire leads. They may have incorrectly connected for full power. You may have to mess with the throttle rev and steering reverse switches. The reason I’m suggesting this is that it happened to me once with a feyiue truck I purchased and I thought the same thing, (what a piece of garbage). After figuring out what it was the truck did so much better. Might of been missed in QC. It’s worth a try!
Brand new AAs in the transmitter got them fresh out the packet. I think it was slow as it has a low kv motor, probably geared low (need to check) and on 3s instead of 4 or 6. I think the motor will be fine on 4s but not 6 due to heat. I think I’ll do a follow up vid and try and make it better

Was the trigger fully pinned, maybe cant full throttle since transmitter reciever range so bad?

Thanks very much for this honest review, Im just as interested to which the bad models are aswell as the good, however I think maybe with some attention and a little fettling this truck could perform quite well, The drive shafts are very thick and I dont think they would waste money like that on a model that didn't need them. The range problem could be a number of things, maybe the rx attena has come unsoldered? Possibly deserves a revisit? As for the negative comments some ppl are just rude and ungrateful, with fantastic channels like this one and Kev, Tomley,etc etc and all the work you guys put in to bring us completely FREE amazing RC content ON TAP 24/7 and then complain? Wow!! I have no words. Thanks again for your work matey. Brilliant stuff. 👍🏻

@@beyondRC Yeah I think it's worth a try, that said I do agree with you when you say we shouldn't have to "fix" a RTR. I think the follow up would be interesting, and one more thing, did you say BG were not to keen to send this model out to you and you had to pester them a little to get them to send you one? Maybe this is why because they didn't want to send you a model that wasn't quite right like this one. Just a thought.

watching this as I prepare my £369 1/8 brushless Corally Muraco for it's maiden rip with the recommended uprated bits, braces, knuckles, 7075 etc so this one really made me laugh. do you think the M602 does 6S ?
as it comes out the box I would say no with the included 3070 motor. It just wont handle 6s in my opinion. If it had a larger motor then maybe as it turns out the ESC is 3s-6s ready which is not stated anywhere and they included a 3s in the box haha! Terrible! Enjoy the Corally!
it might do 28mph on a 6S. you'll be out of range by 17mph though so set the failsafe to full throttle and watch it go...the Corally will be doing 70 on any surface !@@beyondRC

Wow that is a disappointing vehicle related to the price and spec. 80A 3670 motor were suppose to be powerful.
400$ gets you a 3S arrma big rock. looks like some kind of defect or error.

Try calibrating the esc cause a 3s brushless kit shouldn't go 15mph
not the problem its the Transmitter/receiver that sucks!

And that motor kv is probably very low with how SLOW it was on 3s at full throttle like it can't be more then 1300 - 1600 kv with some weird transmitter issues for sure like this has to be 15% throttle or something...
Or maybe the esc needs calibration ?
Ofc do test it with another transmitter & receiver if the company isn't sending you a new radio outright.
But maybe call it a repaired truck in the next video if you want to give this another chance because no matter the cost it should actually be tested to even work which with a bad battery & bad transmitter is a dud for sure.
Even a brushed Traxxas stampede 2wd does 22 - 25 mph out of the box after all & i found one recently with a missing body (The grave digger version of the Traxxas stampede 2wd.
Which is one of my favorite real monster trucks as well, shame this had no bodyshell at all.)
Also no charger, no servo saver or the screws for the servo saver.
It was just in the recycling centre in the electronics container, which we swing by while at work basically almost daily so i do pick up a few things here & there, most of all computer parts either for keeping for myself or for upgrading relatives computers.
Did charge the battery with a random old 7.2v charger for another ancient rc which is a clone of a Tamiya 1:24th scale tamtech rc car.
Like 150 mah 7.2v charger.
That alone would take like 25 hours to charge a 7.2v 3000 mah pack but this was an 8.4v battery so i just needed to jolt it into life enough to test the electrics.
Put in my old 2.4 ghz radio out of a hsp 1:16th scale truggy from like 2012 which eats diffs like nothing & electronics all work on this Traxxas stampede.
So ordered the parts & a 7$ charger needed to make it drivable & will order a bodyshell later, either the bigfoot one trx3661 or trx3653 which is the white front & flames against black up to the cab of the bodyshell.

I agree that looks horrendous. But i think the range issue is because the receiver wire is either pinched or pushed too far down. Probably just a QC fail, but between that, the battery being dead, the speed being so painfully low, this thing looks like junk.

You are negative, when the experience is negative. You can't polish a turd; it is what it is. I appreciate your *objective* comments, and statements, because if you just say everything is great, well, that will come back and bite you on the ass, too.
Redcat Racing Kaiju, the original version, not the EXT, actually does 50+ mph out of the box. I wouldn't call it a 1/8 scale rc either, and it's quite a bit bigger than 1/10, so I call it a 1/9th scale.
It's only $50 more than whatever this rig is, and, parts are readily available, and loads of videos on how to soup it up.
Not to mention, it's range is so far I cant really see it anymore without binoculars! Also, the nylons/plastics they use are much more forgiving, even just feeling them, you know they are flexible, and durable. Several very fast crashes later, and all I had to do was replace a couple A-arms. Which have since been upgraded to 5mm titanium turnbuckles, solving that issue.
Finally, the Kaiju comes with a 150 amp ESC, and a 4268 2100kv motor. I've bashed mine to hell and back, and it still has the stock motor, ESC, and receiver... Food for thought...

Wow. Considering they new, the Truck was going on CZcams for review, says a lot about that brand. Junk, makes the hobby look bad.
😆😆😆 quite unbelievable how bad it is, you would have thought that the factory would have made sure the truck was at least functioning before they sent it to you. I suspect they are effectively pre selling it before they have finished developing it because they can't really be serious about launching it in that state. Anyway, great video, I hope you have saved many people from wasting their money.

What a load of crap. And that thing costs a lot of money too. Just stick with WL toys, MJX hyper go, and HBX brands like that. There's nothing wrong with them and you're not giving up an arm and a leg for them either. You can have loads of fun without buying a Arma Traxxas you name it.😮

@@MarkJohnMorris not really into skateparks anymore just don’t think they are an accurate reflection as to how good an rc car is. There are so many factors to consider not just durability. Quite a few channels label cars are bad when they don’t survive a 30ft drop onto concrete. Honestly not the sort of thing I’m into and I think it looks bad for the hobby. For example my 5 year old was watching a Kev talbot vid a while back at a skatepark and turned to me and said “dad can we go and smash up some rc cars” to which I replied NO absolutely not. I appreciate why people do it and how many views it brings in (sometimes) it’s just not my thing and I think most of my followers have grown to enjoy that element to my channel. The fact I appreciate my things more, work hard and don’t have the same level of disposable income other channels do to justify this behaviour. I’m also trying to teach my 2 young kids to respect what they are given. Hey each to their own but I don’t promote skateparks on my channel. I advise people to go watch other channels for that 😎👍😉

That's remarkably slow, wow. The radio, meh, I've bought high end stuff and the radio be junk so I dont hold that against it I've never had a bad battery come with a car so I would hold that against it. I'd be anxious to see it run on 4s and with a dumbo rc put in it. After that I could see what I wanna see better, but on 3s that was unbelievably slooowww. Now between all your bitchin and moanin 😂 it seemed to be an honest review imo, its junk out of the box and wed take a wltoys with no grease in the diffs all day long 😂.

It's crazy how bad this is for the price. Esp how slow it is on 3s. I want to hope to the bangood lords that this was a dud model, but nah. Yeet that sucker off a cliff. But first. Put some proper stuff in it and see how long the chassis lasts 😅
