James Cameron’s The Abyss was HELL to film. It was incredibly physically and mentally rough on the actors and other staff, because the entirety of the film was pretty much shot on a set that was submerged completely underwater.

That movie is so good! To add on, apparently they only had like enough budget for 2-3 takes to shoot the entire movie and they managed to finish the film in the last take they had.
