You two are such a beautiful couple. You need to have like 20 kids. The reason I say this. The world needs more people like you two.😊😊😊
Ive convinced her to have 4 so far, lets hope for more 🤣
@@ThePasturedHomestead no disrespect, but i want to do ask how do u get the money for 4 children and all the animals? Under Biden's America, inflation has skyrocketed and prices for everything has gone up
Oh, wow! So you left Washington to join us folks in Appalachia! How cool! Welcome to the original frontier! Great job and God bless! 🧡
We sure did! We searched and searched for the right place, and Appalachia really spoke to us! We are so thankful to find an area and property that we love so much. Thank you!
Be sure to visit The Gap. My husband is from there and visit Martin's Station for great history. You'll love it. Have a great week! @@ThePasturedHomestead

You kids have done a great job on improving the farm - congratulations!

Zach great to have a update on how things are going on the farm. So much has been accomplished in a year and it suggests that the two of you are very focused young adults with a plan to accomplish learning as much as you can in the process and applying those experiences in ways that makes life and management of a farm much easier and sustainable. Hopefully you all are able to continue generating nothing but best in your lives and on your Farm. Keep up the good work! May you continue to obtain, and be blessed with good health 🙏, growth, success and prosperity 🙏
Hello! I'm from Australia & I just wanted to say I think you're one of the most humble Americans I've ever watched! I'm definitely subscribed for future videos, love what you're doing & how you respect your animals & land ❤👏

Welcome to Kentucky! I'm an hour or so from there, you're in a beautiful part of the state :)
Hi Zach, glad that you both took the time this summer to host family and enjoyed your time together. Teddy seemed to be your shadow for a good portion of this video. Glad to hear that everything is going well and great to see all of the additions to the homestead. It is always nice to see animals in a healthy environment with plenty of room instead of living in an enclosed area. Looks like you guys are doing great so best wishes to you and Ashlyn.
Thank you Ben! It’s been a wonderful summer for us! We are learning lots 😃
First time watching , nice to see a young couple working hard

Yes, we are very excited! Welcome to the channel 😃
TY for sharing!
Those pigs look well looked after.
In April this year my family and I moved from WA to NY onto a dairy farm also owned by Amish. It was probably one of our best ideas.
That’s wonderful! NY has a beautiful countryside!
Never seen your video looks like a lot of fun
Love Pete!!!❤
thanks for the tour. just saw your channel. i was raised on a ranch in North Carolina when my brother still lives. I am dreaming of leaving California to roam on some land again. Help my adult kids raise their families. keep up the great work! how about some horses!!!
Your farm is so wonderful, beautiful and admirable I wish the same
Nice looking garden
Ya’ll have come a long way in a year!! We have been on our place coming up on our 3rd winter and we are still “bootstrapping”…. I wish that I was even HALF as squared away at 26 as ya’ll are. We are retired now, and are just 3 years into our homesteading journey..
It's great to hear from someone starting a homestead later in life. I'm 56 and was thinking it's too late to be starting a farm.
Great job guys
Thanks for the Video : : : Nice Farm : : : I watched you when you 1ST purchased then I & forgot about your video's : : : Glad you are back
Thank you! Welcome back 😃
Great tour of your place.
Nice farm, Zach
good job Zach
What a life man
Wow! How wonderful. :-)
Your farm is very pretty.
Love your video!
Welcome to KY!
Very beautiful place❤
This so beautiful land.
New to your channel Zach, nice layout with the buildings, will take time to do the things you want but oh my at the finished product, good luck on your next project, be safe.
Welcome! Thank you. We’ve got a long journey ahead of us, but can’t wait!
Run your chickens through the garden plots. They do a great job finding all the weed seeds and eating them. Awesome job on the farm. Looks awesome.
I am so proud of you guys. My husband and i have lived in Kentucky all our lives and we have traveled alot but no matter where we go when we come back home to Kentucky it is alot like i imagine heaven will be like....perfect.
You could use the saw dust to mulch your garden with. That would help to keep the weeds down.
If you mulch with sawdust, you need to add a lot of nitrogen rich materials.
Try and source cardboard as mulch instead of landscape fabric. Breaks down overtime and it’s free if you can find it! Cant wait to see next year
Thanks!
thank you!! 💗
Joys with the boys homestead
The most friendliest way
Great great decision to make natural living ❤️
New subscriber Love your video excellent farm you have there Lots of room We'll be watching more of your video love it So stay safe and have a happy day
Thank you! Welcome to the channel 😃
Hey Pete! New subscriber here. Just one thing I wanted to share with you, something I've heard is that turkeys and chickens should not cohabitate together. In fact, they should be completely separated - like the other side of the farm sort of thing. This is because turkeys are prone to certain diseases chickens carry. Your chickens should be OK with turkeys, but not the other way 'round! Just thought I'd give you a heads up there. That said, if you have a "pardoned" turkey in with your laying chickens, the turkey will be the "police, judge and jury" as the turkey will stop the hens pecking at each other in the hen house. So you'll find it's a lot more peaceful in there. However, that turkey may die on you and it should never be butchered and eaten.
