I grew up in Newport Rhode Island. I always had the ocean 🌊 close to my heart. I am so in love with this ocean themed jewelry and I’m gonna have to buy the bracelet for sure.

Thank you for thinking of the welfare of wild animals 💙 The turtle may have been a female laying eggs, and that might have been why it didn’t move when prodded. Something else to keep in mind is to place turtles in the same direction they were heading, especially if found on roads. They have a strong sense of direction and will turn back to cross again if placed in the opposite direction. Just wanted to mention this in case you didn’t know.
Great video! I have a lot of family history in Galveston, and my family owned a summer home there for many years. The ocean is a special place, even when the water and beaches are filled with seaweed 😆

Omg Galveston!! I grew up going there in the summer. We used to go to Gaidos all the time (and Casey’s next door which was basically the same food but cheaper lol). It’s changed a lot since I used to go there but it’s still a fun little beach town!

I live on Lake Conroe! Glad to hear y'all are ok from the storms - we had hail yesterday and I'm so worried for all the deer when the storms roll through.
That hail was crazy! I thought our windows would break. And it totally messed up our flower beds.
It is also the cause of us having our flight canceled out of IAH! Had to leave a day later.

I really applaud your support of the ocean conservation efforts. With your relationship with this jeweler, could you maybe give them feedback that plastic wrapping and packaging might be better replaced with something that won’t end up in the ocean and doing more damage? The turtle may have been a female (wedged in) depositing eggs? It could be the wrong time of year but they do wedge in the ground to deposit their eggs.
Someone else said the same thing and I hadn’t even thought of that! I am glad she’s rather close to where we found her (if it’s a “her.” How can you tell?)
