    For me the best one was the 1997 Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR, but I know for many it's gonna be one of the Toyotas, specially the Landcruiser FJ60.

  • @x-90

    Worst is Baja Bouncer and Valhalla. Chose Baja Bouncer just to say that unlicensed models isn’t wanted in premium unless they’re popular

  • @MaximusOverdrive
    @MaximusOverdrive Před 2 lety +13

    Best: Mitsubishi Evo VI and Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR. Great to see an Evo done right and boy did they nail it. The CLK is just plain cool, especially in the D2 deco.
    Most Disappointinh: Aston Martin Valhalla. It’s just horribly proportioned and lacks the aesthetic that the real life counterpart has. I won’t blame you for voting for the Baja Bouncer though. It was a close second for me.

    • @goodial
      @goodial Před 2 lety

      agreed on the Valhalla! I like the original car by itself, but the model is just not right as such ...

  • @pigeon_spots_cars
    @pigeon_spots_cars Před 2 lety +13

    Went for the Evo 6 as my favorite since I've been wanting a casting of that for some time and I think they nailed it. Also voted for the Mk2 Escort since my dad has owned a fair few RS2000's and I've always loved Escorts.
    As for most disappointing it has to be the Valhalla. It doesn't sit low enough and the arches are too small.

  • @CasualGaming76

    For me the Audi S4 and the Evo 6 are my favorites. I was waiting for a older gen Evo to come to Hot Wheels. Also the Audi S4 (B5) is one of my favorite cars in Real Life and the replica looks nice!
    For most disappointing model: Aston Martin Valhalla. It's just a bad replica; the heigh is off and so on.

  • @bravo7373

    2 votes for best? Not enough. Lol. So many good ones to choose from…
    Best wud be merc red pig, landcruiser 60, charger FF, custom nova n escort 1800.
    Honourable mentions: audi s4, Cherokee trackhawk, merc clk n starlet.
    Worst wud be the Valhalla. Not a particularly good looking hypercar irl , designed even weirder in diecast form. At least Baja bouncer is still realistic n well proportioned but here’s hoping that this will be the last unlicensed model moving forward. Cheers

    I'm fine with unlicenced cars getting the premium treatment, just as long as they're not packaged as a Premium Car Culture set. Traditionally this has been reserved for vehicles with some form of history or significance. For that reason, Baja Bouncer gets my vote for the most disappointing new model.
    I've picked the Toyota Landcruiser and the Lancer Evolution VI as equal best on the basis of realism. While they aren't nearly as detailed as more premium collector brands, for Hot Wheels cars, these are still stunning models in their own right.

    A little upset you did not include the E46 M3 as it was not included in last years polls since it was released at the very tail end of 2020 and you noted it would be a part of the 2021 voting. It would’ve been my pick for casting of the year.

    1st personal favourite this year is the Red pig because im a sucker for benzes swag. The Toyota Starlet seriously surprises me, wasnt thinking to highly about it when it was revealed but the porpotion and shade of red they went with is *chef kiss*. Worst for me gotta go to the Valhalla. Hotwheels still struggles alot with hyper cars and their super defined, slender exterior features. Otherwise, a great year for collecting. Oh and how do you feel about HW going forward with chase model in upcoming Car Culture mixes ?

  • @marcoantoniomarquezperez2652

    First off. The pictures you take are great. I'd be lying if I said that the quality of those pics doesn't sway the voting just a tad. A lot of great looking cars Drag racers rule for me, but my favorite comes from The Boulevard series. . I'll have to think about most dissapointing, but it won't be none of the race cars.. I don't need my cars to be licence if they look good so I won't be flaking on Baja Bouncer either. I do also prefer Novas and muscle cars with Flames. I don't anticipate too many JDMs so the good news is that won't be my most dissapoining either. What to choose what to choose.

    I think this is the hardest to choose a winner because it's so much variety in this category imo. I guess it comes down to which vehicle type you like the most. Easy to pick worst/most disappointing though, the Aston Martin Valhalla Concept and the Baja Bouncer takes those for me either or.

  • @MossRods

    most disappointing for me was the volvo amazon, i LOOOOVE the car and cant believe hot wheels actually made one, but why did they make it a 2 door and put that disappointing caged interior in it?? The Nova model was just so clean and refreshingly well done, and the Escort model just looks fantastic and well proportioned. I can't wait to see it come out in a more stock version too. I voted the Evo and Custom Nova best. Mitsubishi was long overdue for a good casting. It was between the Custom Nova and Hellcat Widebody for my second vote. I love the Hellcat Widebody’s in real life, and had it been a Challenger Widebody instead of Charger it would have got my vote.
    I love Novas and it was cool to see one slammed and wide bodied instead of the traditional Hot Wheels rake and big rears.
    The Baja Bouncer is the obvious choice for worse. Car Culture should be licensed models only. I would have rather had a poorly executed licensed model like the Aston than the Baja. It’s sitting on the pegs for a reason.
