Even if this was an Easter egg, if I shoot at a UFO in War Thunder I better get some sort of PH****ng achievement.
Probably it's primary use is like the a4e in the American tree, a high tier cas plane for tank people that don't have the air tree grinded.
Yep, my thoughts exactly. It feels like flying the A4, A7, but at higher speeds.

Welcome to modern combat. SAM’s forced me to be better CAS pilot instead flying straight then point and shoot. There is fun when you have to work for your kill

The best thing about the su22 compare to the su17 is that you don’t have to lose 2 bomb to get the 4 r60, you can bring 8 bombs with 4 r60

The new custom loadout mode has restricted the loadout significantly. You should update this video to reflect the new flexible changes

things it has over su17m2 at same BR: better payload, better loadouts, better engine, better airframe, more AAM's taken out at once, fuckin flares, etc etc. i could go on and on

Or just belly land ar 350kph and pop your chute at 220kph to land much faster than using landing gear

I used to love using thing in air rb to bomb a base then go fight with 2 r60's and two extra gin pods. Its literally impossible now with f-14's, f-16's and the new migs. Really sucks because this plane was a lot of fun.

Got it, and a talisman to grind russia. its actually incredible, great for SL grinding as long as you don't purchase the modifications that increase repair costs bar the essentials!
Could you possibly review the MiG-21S?
It'll replace my Su-17M2 in my tank line up until the Su-17M4 is added , sad that germany didn't get their Su-22M4 , they are in needed of a CAS aircraft for top tier . As a loadout for tanks i'll take the 2 gunpods + R-60 + 4 x Kh-25ML , it give me enough AGM to take out their SAM and after that my 30mm can talk to their tanks 😁
When I saw the Su-22M3 on the list for this update, my very first thought was "FINALLY a top tier attack jet for Germany" ... but nope .... :-\
@@TimsVariety they could give the Su-20 wich is just a Su-17 with Su-7BKL loadout + R60 but even that we don't have for some reason

as a matter of facts, poland still uses some su22's though dont know if its only training nowadays
There is a specific engine that propels a ship through space time but it isn’t like the engines that we all use nowadays and they are far more advanced than jet technology.

Got this plane stock, R60 do not lock on to anything in reasonable time unlike in this video. Wonder why? Could it be because I did not buy the expert crew?

It should be better than the MiG-27M. It also has a camera which can look from the front to the rear if I'm correct
I dont know if the 27k will get a full video, its *very* similar to the 27m, but the TLDR is : much better laser, better loadouts.

I always hear you say that you can manually sweep the wings is there some way to to change it from semi auto wing sweep to manual
Yea you have to bind a button for manual wing sweep and then 2 buttons for increase and decrease and be sure to have relative control enabled or it will lock at 50 percent
There are some keybinds.
I use "mouse3" (pushing the mouse wheel down) to toggle auto/manual, and then the mousewheel for forward/backward

What about air to ground rockets? They are working same way PFM rockets do? Like you have to have crosshair on enemy till rocket lands?
All except the kh29 the kh29 uses the cameras

Im at rank V in the soviet air tech tree and I would like to ask you. Do you recommended to work out the tech tree with this?
If you've got the tech tree to the point where you wouldn't be getting an RP penalty, and you are at least semi-decent with ground pounder jet gameplay, then yes this would be a very effective grinder.

I have a review up of both - but test fly them a bunch and see which one you feel most comfortable with.

whenever i try to wing sweep i have to hold the button? is there any way to make it toggle?
I have my wing sweep axis bound to my mousewheel, which works like a toggle.

hm, would this plane work for someone not experienced? I really like this plane but I'm not sure if getting it is a good idea, I'm not that good at planes. I plan on using for ground battles mainly, the highest I really played is 3.7, I think I could work around it anyways since I learned to play war thunder in a harder way anyways. may someone guide me in this decision?
listen buddy doesnt matter if u are experienced or not .. if u love this plane for historical reasons or look or perfomance than buy it and have fun with it ! And dont listen to people saying oh noob guy buys a plane or whatever they gonna say ! I have it and its fun to play
@@flyingwarthog6386 thanks for this info! I understand your point, but if I try playing I'll get frustrated because I'm not sure what I'm doing in it. I spent my ge on the strv 103 and centurion for Sweden, it was a better decision. but I'm still grinding the jet and I'll def get it later!

I bought it, talied it for around 50 bucks. In around 15 matches I’ve gone through almost 400k rp, plus you can get the bombing task done in like 4 matches. Best premium Russian jet rn when talied.

iirc squadron vehicles don't get premium bonuses, in this case you probably just do very good in the plane
imagine wasting that much money on something you can get for free. (gaijin loves these kind of people)

I think the most famous incident of a SU-22 is when the US Navy shot a Syrian SU-22 down in 2017.
Way to modern jet for the game breaks the balenced further in the favor of 1 nation with more then 4 post 1976 jet while certain nations dont have even one post 1970 jet

You might be able to hit a moving target that you can barely see from 1+ km with an unguided rocket that isn't especially accurate in one shot. I can't, so I fire in salvos. If that makes me "pathetic", so be it. I'm satisfied with the kill.
