I would call myself a Tom MacDonald fan but I’m not a “Tommy Boy”. I’m pretty sure that the people in the comments hating on you have only started listening to Tom MacDonald after that song he released with Ben Sharpiro a few weeks ago and those are the “Tommy Boys”. He does have radio friendly songs in the past when he was trying to get a label or had one, but I started listening to Tom MacDonald because of his mental health related songs. I usually only ever listen to his political songs once and then move on because some of what he says I don’t necessarily always agree with. But you have to respect someone’s right to free speech.
The first song of his I heard was called “Hang on” when I was at a low point in life. The music video for that song was him trying to unalive himself so I related a lot to that at the time and helped me realize I am not alone.
Tom has lived in the US for 10 years. He pays his taxes. Why can't he talk about the same shit we are all dealing with? And he has many non-political tracks. It;s just the political ones that get the most attention. Go down his catalog and you can easily see he has a bunch that don't get the attention they deserve. I personally love his hooks. Those that enjoy sing-songy hooks, will love it.
