I think most of the devs are scared shiteless, they know that giving the key to Mack is walking on a very thin ice, and it does not, under any circumstances give them the certainty the game will be warmly reviewed - which surprises me a ton, since they should pay attention to the people actually being honest about the games they're reviewing, giving constructive and justified criticism (minus Tarkov, Mack should give this game a try, since he likes hardcore games, and the pay2win aspect is not as bad as he originally stated. It's way more about the skill).

I don't have a problem with Epic but I don't like how limited its platform is for the users. Maybe in the future when It's more fleshed out I'll give it a try. Also, I'm one of those people who hates exclusivity bs. I like everyone to enjoy games and I think people have been brainwashed into thinking that exclusivity brings better competition. That's bs. There's plenty of money to go around.

The Hitman trilogy is just great. The fact that you can turn on or off the insinct power, as well as the minimap and more to suit whatever kind of experience YOU want, just makes this one of my favorite series ever. It's just fucking great!
There is a plethora of content for the levels. You can sink days into one mission alone with the variety of challenges

Was hoping you'd bring up the carry-over fiasco and the fact that we still couldn't carry over our Hitman (2016) stats and items to Hitman 2. To this very day, that shit feelsbadman
well you couldn't carry your grind stats from 1 to 2 because of some bullshit, so it's not a new imposition. Let's not mention that Hitman is now about grinding achievements - the originals are still more interesting and fun than this modern screw driver hunt bollocks.

This genuinely is one of the best games to come out in a long time. (Aside from miles) it's solid as hell, extremely replayable, and gorgeous. Hitman games never dissapoint me and I'm super pumped to beat this game to death with 100s of hours. Great review as always mack!

Seems like they made sure to put in a lot of references from the older games in the series with this final part of the trilogy.
I agree Mack, Hitman is a great game. It shows that these devs poured their hearts into this project. One gripe I have with these Hitman games is lack of spoken foreign languages while exploring all these exotic locations.

Going further - I have a good idea for RETRO review - Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.
If you like fucking around, killing enemies in a lot of funny ways - that's a game for you.
It's a little bit old (2006), but the gameplay is so much fun you just have to check it out.
The other game I'd like to recommend you to review is Exanima - it's in early access, but the developer is doing his best to update it regularly (sort of).
The atmosphere, sound, lightning and most importantly - physics based combat add to a game which is a ton of fun.
It's hard as fuck, it does not help you at all, you're just being thrown into it (literally), and I find it great.
Gimme them likes if you know any of above games lads, so that Mack can see it.

I've really been enjoying this game in VR too. You get all 3 games in VR if you already own them for free. Its a little wonky sometimes but still great fun
Note: It is only a 1-year Epic Exclusive. Meaning that the game will be out on Steam the next year in January 2022.

The engine is really optimized. Im running at 1440p with Ultra on my rig using a 970gtx and it runs well. The slow methodical way it plays also helps alot too.

I'd be interested if it was more like the originals (i.e. 2000-'06, kinda liked Absolution too), in the sense of being more dark-gritty and serious, if the AI didn't seem like it has some new form of down syndrome, and if it was longer (takes roughly 8hrs to beat, almost a COD campaign via length). Graphics look pretty neat, levels are beautiful and the VR game or 'mode' looks somewhat potentially fantastic, but Idt I'd even pay $30 for this..

I used to love hitman games. Played pretty much all of them from Hitman 2 and contracts on the PS2 and on. Didn't pick up Hitman (2016) because the episodic release bothered me. Finally got it and hitman 2 on steam sale (well Hitman 2+legacy pack bs) and I can't even finish Hitman's (2016) levels. Just get bored with it all.
