"endgame" I really hated, but watch to have your one opinion...
He is exactly how I pictured Spider-man & Peter Parker. His high pitched voice, character & flexibility. I grew up reading Spider-man, Wonder woman & Batman. Tom Holland is perfect.
It sucks the writing is off, making him depend on Iron Man. Tom is such an amazing actor and he loves the character so much, I want to see him stay in the role but get a director that cares about the character.

I think that he should depend on Tony somewhat, like being realistic he couldn’t make his own suit- but he’s independent enough that he can make his own solution for the spider suit. As much as I adore Peter, and his character development- which is one of my personal favorites -he is not the full hero he should be and/or can be. He needs guidance, and then comes Tony.
This is by no means going against Tom. Tom is a phenomenal actor, he’s going places I’ll tell ya that. He can carry out a great plot line no doubt. But the character Peter Parker needs just that little push and that good conscious speaking and helping him.

Peter's entire motivation was because his selfishness cost his uncle his life, and he didn't want anyone to feel the same pain he felt. Nowhere is he that same character in the MCU, Spider-Man didn't even want to be an Avenger in the comics-The first time they met he annoyed them, and he's fought Iron Man many times when they've crossed over. I don't like Spider-Man looking up to another hero, it ruins the point of his character, but if he was going to look up to one it should've been Captain America.

I just want to clarify that, this is not the comics. This is the movie adaptation of the comics.
They are different.
In the comics, Peter may have despised and/or hated Tony, but he doesn’t here. Again, I’m going by the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) not the comics. Don’t intertwine them both- they are different storylines and plots -because if it were the comics, The X-Men would have met them by now.
Anyways, my point was and is that Peter is in need of a mentor, not that he didn’t have a drive. Uncle Ben was the waking moment for Peter to see that he should use his powers for good instead of his own selfish reasons. But I’m saying that he needs guidance not motivation. He won’t wake up one day and know how to do everything.
Project Spider-Man and the process of him becoming the hero was over the course of at least a month- to think of a name, costume, his transportation, his signature (being the webs), and so on and so forth. I’m not writing off Ben because he wasn’t mentioned or because I like Tony more- both are equally important in Peter’s life. Both served him two half’s of a whole answer.
I forgot to mention that Peter does look up to Captain America. He looks up to all the Avengers. They are his heros, and he took guidance from them when Tony wasn’t there. He sees them all as what he should strive to be- he to do good just like them.

You're completely right, these are movies, they exist in the Marvel multiverse, he's even been in Spider-Geddon. But the movies are what millions of kids are going to grow up watching and they'll think that's how Spider-Man is, when he isn't. As an adaptation of the character I think it's a unique take but there's a reason why the movies always have Peter Parker Spider-Man, especially as a teenager, because that's the main guy and we're able to relate to him more that way. The point of superhero movies is to tell the stories of a superhero, and eventually they become their own thing yes, but they still need to be true to their source material. If they went so far off from the comics like they did with Spider-Man then it must be okay for Batman to kill in Batman v Superman, or for Superman to be so secluded and hopeless in Man of Steel, or for The Flash to look up to Batman like he's some little kid at a failed attempt to recreate the Peter and Tony dynamic.

Plus, English and British are the same accent. British and American are the different accents. This movie looked like so much fun to film
Tom was the most convincing Peter Parker to ever play that role in live action Spider-Man movie. I really loved the way he hops up on the bed and begins to whine about the “Training Wheel” setting on the suit. His delivery of the line “they treat me like a kid” while acting just like a teenager who has just been punished feels so authentic. I cannot imagine Toby or Andrew trying to pull that off. I think they would have just come across pathetic. They looked and acted too old to be bitching like that, but Tom was simply great at it.
My other favorite line was when he and Ned were in his bedroom and Ned wanted him to tell everyone his secret, especially Aunt May. Tom once again sounds just like a teen when he whines, “ if she knows, she won’t let me do it”. Once again I cannot imagine Andrew or Toby suggesting that Aunt May could stop them from being Spider-Man. Here’s this super powerful hero who can still be grounded by his Aunt. It just felt so real and convincing coming from Tom.
Tom looks and sounds like a teen and acts very much like a modern teenager. His high pitched voice helps a lot and his acting chops are spot on. The best Spider-Man/Peter Parker ever put on film. More impressive is his American accent. I did not know he was British until after seeing the movie. His accent was perfect. Although he didnt’t have a strong New York, or Queens accent, he did sound fully American. I never heard his British accent pop out anywhere in the film, even after watching it several times. You can tell he worked hard for this role.
This kid is uber-talented and I hope he doesn’t become type-cast like so many actors and actresses that play superhero’s or bigger-than-life characters. Especially when they play those characters so well they become a household name. I would like to see what he could do in a more dramatic role, in order to see his diversity. Thank you Tom for really bringing Spider-Man off the pages of the comics and bringing real humor to the role.
I just love the way he chatters the whole time he is fighting. He sounds like he is not taking the fight seriously and is just having fun with all of his superpowers and toys that Tony put in the suit. This is exactly what you’d expect from a teen who just received all of these super powers. It feels like he takes the same enthusiasm that Ned and himself have playing with Star Wars action figures and video games to the real fight.
Thank you Tom for giving us the best Spider-Man/Peter Parker ever put in film. I can’t wait to see what other roles he could knock out of the ballpark.
Very well put. I haven't enjoyed the others do Spider-man like Tom did. Such a treat to watch this guy in the role. Makes it just 'so much fun'. All the other characters are serious and to-the-point, and then comes along Spider-man to break the ice. :)

I remember I was 10 when I saw this, and at 1st I didn’t think I would like it bcuz I was so used to watching the Sam Raimi and Amazing Spider-Man movies and seeing Tobey and Andrew as Spider-Man. But when I left the theater that night, I was amazed and I couldn’t wait for the sequel! And I knew that Tom Holland was immediately my favorite Spiderman! And after I saw Far From Home, I was even more in love! Now I can’t wait for No Way Home this December! Tom is definitely my favorite Spider-Man! 👏🏻🤩👏🏻🤩

Yenuli Hettiarachchi it's uh, actually Spider Man will not continued in MCU because Sony didn't want to and Sony want to create SCMU's (Sony's Character of Marvel Universe) own Spider-Man, and also because Marvel (or Disney I think) want 3O% of the money from Far From Home's box office if they continued it, so that's why Sony didn't want to continue MCU's Spider Man. But, eventually, Tom Holland helps them to continue by asking Marvel to only ask for 25% of the box office and Tom remind them of the fan who will be mad at this so, yeah.. you could do your own research

In general, without taking the movies into consideration, its a really good thing Marvel didn't start the Universe off with Spiderman. Otherwise, all the others characters, though we see turned out to be brilliantly delivered, would have been in the fog from all the hype. He's a really popular character, it would have just been intimidating for directors to follow it up with Iron man and Captain america, it might have not been the same. But if they ever planned to interweave in Spiderman, they definitely got the order right in electing a character as big as him near to last, to continue Marvel's longevity in the franchise, yeah? Especially, since the Predecessor Team will now soon be hanging up their roles, its exciting to see that Spiderman will be the one to continue on the legacy.
