We ate here during Covid by “accident”. The food was excellent. We enjoyed it a lot. My daughter and I have now added this as a go to place for our next trip
I ate there with my parents back in early April this year, I liked the food but the atmosphere and the Cast Members working there is what really makes it
Cast 👏 Members 👏
Jungle cruises one of my favorite rides Adventureland is our favorite place so this was really natural for my family to want to go there every time we go to MK😂 We absolutely love it The food is always been good The service impeccable and the jokes very funny ❤️
I literally don’t have any desire to go back to Disney and haven’t for years but these videos and your voice are so nice.. like I watch these to go to sleep😭
Also love Yak & Yeti in Animal Kingdom. Interesting, exotic food that tastes great
I keep saying they should bring back the Adventurer’s Club! It would make a great addition to Animal Kingdom, even as a daytime hours restaurant.
Kungaloosh, my friend . . . Kungaloosh. 💀👀🐒🐘
The guy who designed both of the Trader Sam's bars helped create an Adventurers Club-type place in Wilmington, North Carolina called the Sorrow Drowner.
@@blackjac5000 just looked this up. some family members are going to North Carolina later this month and now I am very sad I’m not going with them T_T that looks AMAZING
@@blackjac5000 great name, lol
I was just at Magic Kingdom and should have stopped to try the Hardy Har Char Siu Pork! How funny is it that my last name is Harchar! 😂
Always great when you can "out pun" your server with a corny joke and they laugh at it!
Skipper canteen was our favorite meal in the parks! Thank you for sharing so much info. Can't wait to go back!
Can't believe you didn't mention that if you sit near the kitchen door you hear a lot of crazy antics going on, such as constantly dropped plates and funny arguments!
We had dinner there 2 weeks ago and we will definitely be back next time! Loved it. Just fantastic!
Skipper Canteen is my wife's and my favorite restaurant in Magic Kingdom. Love it! Thanks for the video.
I never been to Disney World before and I'm going there after this pandemic is over for safety. I know Disney food is very expensive and very yummy. Someday I would like to visit Disney World. I would love to see Florida and take a vacation there. I'm not coming right now anytime soon. You're Disney videos are awesome.
Whenever i am in disney, i always insist on eating here at least once! Always delicious and the atmposhere is delightful!
I just made reservations for this for our July trip. I’m so excited!
ate their once - loved this place. definitely will be back. great food - lotta fun.
One of my absolute favorites!
One of my favorite restaurants in MK. Usually easy to get a same day reservation. Love the food.
It's a great little restaurant in MK! Found it while scrolling through restaurant options and wanted something different from the usual sit down spots... Found it hidden in the options list and thought hmmmm, that looks interesting. And it sure was! Great food and a great atmosphere.
My cousin took me here a couple years ago and I've been hooked ever since. I wish I had known about this fabulous restaurant earlier. I am underwhelmed by most of MK food except for Skipper. I admit you need to be an adventurous foodie though.
It is a newer restaurant
@@bethglass6423 I'm not sure what that means. It opened in 2015 so there were many years I could have been going before I first went there.
There was a time when all you had was a dinner reservation.
Stayed a week at WDW waaaay back in 1991. Popped in another couple of times to Pleasure Island, and The Adventurers Club. That was so great I still feel a part of the gang. Glad to see they kept the vibe going.
Our family goes to the parks from rope drop until close, this has been one of our favorite restaurants to take a break at while we are at Magic Kingdom
It's been my default place to eat in the Magic Kingdom, partially because it's one of the few places in the world to get the Kungaloosh Spiced Excursion Ale. And I did have the pão de queijo the last time; you can also get it at Brazilian steakhouses.
Hopefully going to DisneyWorld for the first time soon! Your videos are so helpful :)
Husband and I got a last minute reservation here last October, it instantly became one of our favorites~
Great restaurant! We love it.
This amazing restaurant is worth. every. damned. penny, lol.
It's ALWAYS busy.
Frekain' pure profit for TWDC, and I celebrate it all!
TOTALLY DELICIOUS!
So worth it!! Dined there twice and the food was delicious and the experience fantastic!!
So glad you enjoyed it!
Loved Mowgli's Tree House Cafe - make sure you try the honey spun bananas.
The vegan options at skippers are wonderful!
Never had a meal here. Has never been on my radar. Looks fun.
We loved Skipper Canteen!!!!
I love Skipper Canteen!
How have I been coming to Disney World for 40 years and NEVER heard of or seen this place? Omg I nearly want to book a trip just to experience it. Looks really fun.
It used to be called the Adventureland Veranda Restaurant. Only got rethemed to Skipper Canteen about five years ago, hence why you haven't seen it in 40 years.
@@SailorMoonFan92 that would explain why I haven’t seen this restaurant as well. I have been visiting since 1975 and this was the first time I heard mention of the restaurant. Our last theme park visit was 2017.
🤯
I love what you do
Been there pre covid, was fun!
Love this restaurant, but didn''t know to ask about a secret menu!
Our family’s favorite and we have at least 1 picky eater! We never miss an opportunity to eat here❤️🐠
The fried fish is amazing. It is a whole fish, not just a filet...a WHOLE fried fish. Yum.
We ate here last month and it was delicious!
one of my fav restaurants! great for vegans/vegetarians! the falafel is amazing
Options are everything!
I've never eaten here. It opened after my prime time of Disney. But I would try it.
Pão de Queijo = pronounced "paown gee kay-zho" ;) Brasilian cheese bread. SO good. 8:56
My mom somehow asked at the right time when we went a few years ago and we ended up sitting in the butterfly booth. It was gorgeous for everyone in the party, and the restaurant was perfect for me because I often have a more adventurous palate than what most restaurants offer!
🦋🦋
Everyone talks about 50s primetime and other restaurants with jokes but this is sorta the underrated one
Saludos desde México! 🇲🇽
When we went our family of six did not have one good dish and we’ve never been back. The theming was nice though.
I had no idea about the other dining rooms available here. We loved the food but were underwhelmed with the main dining area. We now know to ask for one of the other rooms on our next trip. Thanks!
Have you thought of doing a video or videos showing the food and treats inspired by favorite characters?
I only ate there once and my server was TERRIBLE which never happens at MK! So I need to try it again with a redo!
Reason it's the eighth wonder of the world, makes me wonder what I'm drinking later.
once sat in the butterfly booth and still consider getting that spot to have been Pixie Dust. The collection belonged to Walt & Lily!
Trust me it's worth it! Went there with my family when I was 12, and it was AMAZING. Obviously I don't know if my taste buds would still like it now haha but i hope it's still the same!
Core memories!
@@DFBGuide Indeed 😁
Shhhhh stop saying how much you love this place!!! It’s our go to MK restaurant. It’s delicious and relatively easy to get a reservation.
Love the atmosphere of this place, as well as the SEA references in here
🤫
@@DFBGuide oh right 🤐
Went to this restaurant a few days ago, love everything except the deserts lol
Is that Luffy in your pfp? It looks nice 👍
You had room? 😅
@@NinthShinigami thanks lol
@@DFBGuide just barely lol
We ate at the skipper restaurant. The theming was cute, but the food was not very good.I ended up sending my chicken back and getting an app instead. I would not choose to dine here in the future.
Also I was on this ride today. It's so corny but fun and cool. Nothing but excitement when inside the tunnel.
Was Preston Whitmore an SCA member? (Look it up!)
The secret society in Japan was the best
Japan always gets the best stuff and the best treatment
I miss the Adventurers Club!
Are the books real books? Can you read them?
Props
She says it's AJ, but it sounds more like Breanna to me!
Is a park pass the same as a park reservation or do you need a ticket, a reservation and a pass? WHat
you need a ticket and a park reservation (pass is slang for reservation)
@@lavetaloca7790 a reservation is a bit too much
@ann lavine it is not an extra charge.
@@lavetaloca7790 but it is a pain tn the you know what
Loooove this place. Happy vegan vibes over there.
Sea Org. Really. Disney actually named the org "sea". There's no way Disney didn't know. Tom Cruise has been in Disney movies. They had to know what they were doing calling it Sea Org.
definetely not pronounced que-ho. its more like kay-jzho
Our waiter was way too much with his puns. Really annoying
We did not like it when we went last. The food was not great. Don’t plan to ever go back. The theming was nice though.
Well we all have our own opinions. What about the food make you not wanna go back?
Simply put: Overpriced & over-hyped average Disney restaurant.
narrator talks to fast and is hard to understand
Can always change the play speed. I watch on double speed…to each their own.
And you write too poorly. 😜
My hearing isn't what it used to be . . . turn on the captions.
